with Yamato and Neji, they should do pretty well. ;]

maybe deidara and kakuzu will lose as shikamaru can make a good plan and we still dont know the strength of gai and as for yamato he must be strong cauz he have the power of sho (but not the full power unfortunately).kakashi's sharingan can be helpful too and we still dont know neji full strength.
in other hand deidara's explosion will be interesting in fight however shikamaru will found out the secret of that jutsu fast and with help from kakashi's mangekyuo sharingan they can beat him and as for kakuzu, this time strong ninja will fight him not ino and choji xd so gai and yamato can beat him with help from byakugan.
so i vote for Leaf ninja.
PS:I am fan of all Akatsuki members but I should say the truth

Leaf wins. neji and Shikamaru are pretty strong charachters if you don't compare them with Naruto or Sasuke. Both called genius. Besides that they have a good jounin team to back them up. Gai short ranged taijutsu user. Yamato long ranged and Kakashi is middle to long ranged with lot's of techs. So i'm sure with some good planning this won't be a match really. Neji can see chakra even better then Sasuke so they could beat Deidara pretty much the same way. And Kakuzu wasn't that good.

leaf ninja's will win if deidara doesn't use C-4 , but if he used that all r died..including kakuzu...also neji's rotation maybe not effective against that explosion

Shouldn't Kakashi and Neji be able to see C-4 in action and warn the others? I'd probably give it to Akatsuki duo though. They'd need to catch Deidara early since once he is in the air and reigning bombs, he will be a major pain in the ass and with Kakuza spamming 5 elemental techniques at once and defending himself with Iron Skin, then team Konoha will be bombarded with massive jutsu's throughout.

i doubt kakashi would be able to transport the explosion if he self-destructed.

plus he is amazing as is kakuzu.
shikamaru/negi would just get destroyed effortlessly.

MMmm that simple right. I'm guessing they're just going to stand there right? Kakuza and his five hearts at the same time are problematic and Deidara will most likely take to the air and get out of range as soon as possible. Deidara is not as stupid as Hidan.
