And losing one small battle determines who's better or not? If Minato was better, he would have killed him, not sit back and think about how powerful Tobi is, and then leave it to his son to finish him.
Minato could've killed Tobi anytime he wished considering he had him marked, but the kyuubi was the bigger issue at the time. Minato was the hokage and the hokages responsibilities lie soley in defending the village and its people.
You just can't seem to handle that Minato beat Tobi's ass. I have a few words of advice. Get. Over. It.
Minato outsmarted Tobi, he outclassed Tobi, and more importantly he was simply more skillful than Tobi. All while Minato had zero prep time and an inferior s/t jutsu.
I'll just let you think about that for a little bit.
