The sensation of something inside you disappearing like a fart in the wind was unpleasant to say the least. Hawke, now sans an arm in his stomach and thus sporting a new and slowly healing hole where the offending limb had been. For his part, seeing the dead woman reappear was the worse one of the two.

"You what, mate?" Hawke blinked owlishly, for once all but stunned by this turn of events. He regained his composure quickly however, pointing an accusatory finger at Kinrah. "I know everything you know, girl. Don't overstate your case."
"The King of Souls is a pawn of the serpent with eight eyes. He watches from the depths, growing his reach vast and deep. He learns, he becomes, he rises." Kinrah flickered again, distorting reality around Hawke. "Your eyes are closed to cosmic truth. Death has left this world, and with it the real becomes the unreal." Kinrah vanished in a static burst of purple light, leaving Hawke alone where he stood. Almost as if she never was real to begin with.

As the ghost of Kinrah vanished Hawke looked around as if searching for something unseen. His purple Rinnegan eyes faded back back to their normal green, leaving him feeling more naked and alone than he had with the girl's arm still in his stomach. It was all just cryptic riddles and whispers in the dark. The entire experience had really soured Garrett's outlook on mysteries and he silently vowed to beat the soul out of whoever had tipped the first domino of this disaster. Even the information he had gathered from Kinrah's soul had been like mental gibberish. Some memories were clear as day, while others were simply incomprehensible. it was as if some of her consciousness was simply of an alien mental language.

Hawke looked up and around, settling on the northbound road that stretched out in front of him and led out of the now flattened row of barracks he stood between. During the fight he had noticed signs of another struggle not far away. He even imagined to have heard the unmistakable reverberations of large-scale Ninjutsu being used. All were things that drew Hawke closer to the source of it all like a dog was drawn to a bone. The grizzled veteran casually kicked the half-chewed limb of Kinrah away and took the first few steps to leave her and the entire infernal landmark behind him.

Coming from the Kaizoku Sea.

Hawke and Kreia made land on the coast of Shaohai, which brought to Hawke's mind the last time he was in the area. The ghost of Kinrah had been his first hands-on experience with the forces that threatened to upturn the entire world. It was a stark reminder of how quickly things could change. The duo made their way onwards on foot.

This post encompasses an A-rank mission containing the following storyboard elements:
  • Take the punishment your teacher gives you (3)
  • Begin to realize your true desire (4)

Hawke’s head was pounding from the arduous trip he had been forced to endure. It had been long, uncomfortable and wet, but that was nothing compared to the earfuls – plural – that Kreia had treated him to for its entire duration. Whether by land or by sea her disapproving stares did not change, nor did the holier-than-thou tone of her voice. She was a guilt machine on wrinkled legs, equipped with all the Greatest Hits of the much-acclaimed “didn’t I tell you?” wave. Her message stayed consistent though, Hawke had to give her that. She waved off the retreat itself like an afterthought, but was cantankerous, to put it mildly, that Garrett had been so brain-meltingly stupid so as to put himself in that situation in the first place. “Then you have learned nothing,” she would say to his every counterargument, which pissed him off doubly since he was under no obligation to argue with her in the first place.

Ever the patron saint of patient men, Hawke had tried his very best to be Zen about the whole thing, but the old woman’s words had a way of festering. Sometimes they would surface, unbidden, to stalk his waking thoughts as they came to do his dreams. She would ask seemingly innocuous questions, well-knowing that he knew she was testing him, putting every gesture under a microscope and dissecting his every word. From the smokebomb in Tazuma to Khulna and now in Shaohai the woman had been on his case like a fly on fresh manure. It was altogether excruciating, made even worse by the fact that he could not kill her. Several nights had found Hawke standing over Kreia’s sleeping form trying to force his hands into a stranglehold to no avail. He could swear he would see the corner of her mouth curl upwards whenever he slinked defeated back to his bedroll on those nights.

All these things in tandem contributed to what Hawke had mentally dubbed his ‘eternal hangover’ and just like its less perpetual counterpart a little hair of the dog was an excellent remedy for its symptoms. To that effect he had led them to a small cluster of broken barracks that he recognized from his fight with Kinrah and had found blessed purchase in the form of an untouched cache of hard liquor. A few gulps of that had seen him in much better spirits to take on the day. It had the opposite effect on Kreia, which was surprising since she did not drink any. Still, the rhythmic thumping inside his skull refused to quiet down.

“And what do you hope to achieve with this?” came another unwelcome question from Kreia as the blind woman eyed the now half-empty bottle in his hand.

“Getting pissed,” Hawke belched, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. Kreia’s glower seemed to intensify in response.

“I cannot make you see if you will not listen,” she said disapprovingly. “Are you powerless that your strength is held I check by your doubts?” Those words bit deeper than he would have liked and his emotional response only exposed that to Kreia.

“How was I to know? I nearly got them to give up a name.”

Kreia scoffed at that. She actually scoffed.

“You knew from the moment you felt their presence that they were here for you.” She stepped into his personal space and looked him up and down with a frown. “You had every chance to see them, to listen to your instincts, but you did not. Why?” The question was delivered stonily and it had the intended effect on Hawke who mulled it over for a while.

“Because I thought they’d piss of in the end,” he finally admitted, taking another swig of liquid courage. “But the pale beanpole just saw a problem to nip in the bud, so legging it seemed wise.”

“Why?” She repeated and Hawke instinctually understood her implication.

“Because losing could set me back a lifetime, yeah?” Hawke heard the whining undertone in his own voice and hated it. “Those two wankers weren’t pushovers, yeah? A scrap would’ve been long, with an un-fucking-certain outcome. All for what?”

“Nothing,” Kreia finished for him. “Power does not build without struggle, but not all struggles are equal. You must be prepared to do what is necessary without deferring to your ideals and your doubts. These men are enemies by circumstance and they will not hesitate to strike again if you continue down this path.”

“You think we’re going to Zhaohua on holiday, yeah?” Hawke asked, clearly irritated. “Someone has invested a lot of money in getting rid of me. Getting to them first is my two-bird stone.” He shot Kreia a wolfish grin and ignored the knowing look she returned.

“I am but a mirror whose only purpose is to show you what your own eyes cannot yet see,” Kreia informed him with what Hawke suspected was mock respect, but her voice never wavered. “To do so you must listen to what I know you already hear: the constant whispers of wants, desires, lies told to oneself to stave off the darkness around us.”

“Why?” Hawke took some small pleasure in asking, but Kreia did not seem affected.

“To realize what it is you truly desire,” was her infuriatingly simple and dry answer. “Think more upon this. The answer will come to you, or it will not.”

And Hawke did.

Previous post.

Musashi's trek through the Land of Fire had been much more vibrant than her one through the Land of Wind, filled with many more colors. Though it took some time after arriving in Shaohai, she was eventually able to procure a ferry that would be going to Tobusekai across the Kaizoku Sea.

Leaving Landmark for Kaizoku Sea (259).

Alucard and Lilith traversed through the old Hanguri forts, some of which were still occupied with once soldiers - now bandits. Yet without too much hassle the two of them managed leave into the countryside, west of the armaments and forts. From there they continued west.

Following the triumph, Alucard decided to form a gravitational floating throne held together by gravity. This platform would make him travel through the air above the trees as he scouted the new factions spread out wide in this area. As he traveled he also started to regenerate his chakra.

This post marks the start of a mission (and mission arc)
Story Elements:
  • Infiltrate an enemy’s organization (4)
  • Spy on an important target and remain undetected (4)
  • Steal valuable information from the enemy (4)

Part 5 - Everywhere and Everyone
Shaohai was grim under morning cloud, the Great Wall’s eastern rib fading into fog where stone met the sea. Narberal kept to the ruined drill yards before the day’s first inspection bell, walking past half-buried spear racks and chalk scars of old formation lines. She didn’t need nostalgia; she needed a mask that smelled like salt and ink and overtime. The kind of mask that let you into storerooms no one remembered locking. She rolled a reed pen between her fingers and practiced a clerk’s small, apologetic smile, the kind that made soldiers step aside so the paper could pass. It felt strange on her face, then easy, then natural enough to become another layer of skin. Somewhere a gull cried; somewhere a whistle blew. She let the sound fill the quiet chambers inside her and settle. Then she shaped the first chakra weave of the day.

(Henge no Jutsu) - Transformation Technique
Type: Supplementary
Rank: E
Range: Short
Chakra: 5
Damage: N/A
Description: A Ninjutsu technique, which every ninja learns at the Ninja Academy. Henge allows the ninja to transform themselves into any person or object. This allows the ninja to move with stealth or to trick their opponents.

A pale woman vanished, and in her place stood an overworked scribe with ink-stained thumbs and the posture of someone who lived in ledgers. Her hair was dull and badly braided; her eyes were the colour of old tea. She added a sun-cracked leather satchel and a roll of blank forms tucked under one elbow. On the back of one knuckle she painted a tiny crescent scar with ash, a signature detail, the kind people remember just long enough to stop looking. The mask was not perfect. It was plausible, and plausible opens doors.

She moved down the cracked avenue toward the Solanaceae depot. The rebuilt garrison hummed behind high timber palisades, its banners showing the burning-crown sigil layered over Hanguri’s erased crest. At the gate, a sentry squinted at her seal slip. Narberal kept her voice flat.
“Inspection papers, secondary copy. Quarterman’s office requested them.”
He grunted, pressed the stamp slate without reading, and waved her through. Paper beat steel again.
Inside, she was swallowed by motion, clerks hunched over tall tables, messengers weaving between crates, the air thick with dust and graphite. A bell struck once every forty minutes, marking progress reports. If she was to vanish among them, she needed rhythm. She studied the others until her steps matched theirs, her shoulders slumping with the same fatigue. By the second bell, no one looked twice.
Fesk was her quarry: Master Quarterman, chief of incoming stores, signing authority for sealed crates that never reached the records. She found him mid-argument with a dock foreman, voice clipped and precise, quill still in hand even while gesturing. A careful man. Careful men leave traces of their caution.

She took a vacant desk two rows back. From there, she could watch the cadence of his work, the way he turned each page twice before writing, the deliberate drying of ink, the pause before sealing. Each movement a metronome. She began mirroring it on her own blank forms, training her muscle memory. In time her own pages would sound like his.
Near noon a junior officer dumped a stack of manifests onto her table.
“Copy these and return to Fesk for countersignature.” He didn’t wait for reply. Perfect. Narberal skimmed the top sheet. Most was mundane, salted fish, nails, lamp oil but the bottom half listed “medical instruments” routed from Eastwatch with authorization sigils looped in thorn-like curves. The mark again. Her breath slowed.
She shift her eyes into the red familiar pattern, the sharingan looking at the paper infront of her but kept hidden by her transformation technique.

( Doujutsu: Sharingan ) Eye Technique: Copy Wheel Eye (3T Passive)
Type: Supplementary
Rank: C - A Rank
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 15 - 30 ( -5 per turn for 1T and 2T, 10 per turn to keep active for 3T )
Damage: N/A
Description:
One of the Three Great Dōjutsu (San Daidōjutsu), the Sharingan is the kekkei genkai of the Uchiha clan. Unlike the other Dōjutsu, not all members of the Uchiha Clan possess the Sharingan. This great Dōjutsu seems to awaken only on exceptional Uchiha members and only in times of great stress. Once awaken, the pupil turns red and a single tomoe (巴) seal appears around the center pupil. As the user masters and evolves their eyes, the tomoe (巴) seals increase, topping 3 per eye. The main ability of the Sharingan, like any other Dōjutsu, is to enable the user to see the flow of chakra. This ability is further improved as the Sharingan gives color to chakra, enabling the user to differentiate chakras from different people or from different sources. Although the user can see chakra through matter, he cannot see beyond dense matter or in long distances. Coupled with the ability to see chakra, Sharingan users gain acess to an incredible clarity of perception that enables them to read insanely fast movements or minor details, enabling them the ability to foresee in an easier way, traps, incoming attacks, etc. This clarity of perception is so great that a Sharingan user can sometimes start performing a counter to an attack that is still being performed, enabling the counter to be launched only a split a second after the attack. This clarity of perception leaves Sharingan users able to track high speed movement easily as well as to read through handseals. This last ability enables them to learn techniques much faster and sometimes copy them directly from the enemy, as long as the user has the necessary chakra affinities and requirements to perform it. Finally, the Sharingan is often linked to Genjutsu and mind-manipulating illusions, mostly because the user can, mostly through Eye Contact, directly and precisely use his chakra to manipulate the enemy's chakra flow. In return, the users clarity of perception gives him the ability to more easily decipher visual illusions cast upon him and see past them. The Sharingan has a great cost to the user though. The chakra consumption disables its use for long periods of time and, even when the user grows stronger, it's still hard to keep it active for long periods of time.
Note: The user, if he hasn't gained full mastery over his Sharingan, will need to spend a move to activate it, although as long as he has chakra and enough stamina he'll be able to keep it active until the end of the match. If the user is Sannin Rank or above and has gained his 3 Tomoe Sharingan and held it for one month, he becomes able to passively activate it, meaning he'll no longer spend a move of his 3 per turn.
Note: To avoid direct Eye Contact and be able to focus only on the body movement below the chin, the opponent needs to have mastered Taijutsu to possess the necessary skill
Note: C rank usage is for 1T Sharingan, B rank usage is reserved for 2T Sharingan. A Rank usage is reserved for 3T Sharingan.
Note: Predicting the nature of a technique or what it exactly is requires the user to either know the technique or that its a cannon technique.
Note: Danzo and Kakashi bios activate the Sharingan by removing the covers in their respective eyes and suffer a +10 chakra consumption per turn penalty
Note: The user is bound by the abilities and limits of the stage of sharingan he possesses, stated in the rules of the KG.

Her pupils brightened. Each line of ink glowed faintly where chakra had been used to alter the text. Someone had layered false orders atop genuine ones. The altered words pulsed beneath, revealing a path of contraband from Qindong’s Moon Gate to Shaohai’s coastal vaults. She copied the hidden script stroke by stroke into her memory, repeating the numbers silently until they stuck like splinters.
Fesk called her forward for signature. She approached, keeping her posture small, head slightly bowed. As he reached for his pen, she wove another jutsu beneath the ledger’s edge.

( Magen: Kokoni Arazu no Jutsu ) - Demonic Illusion: False Surroundings Technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 10 (+5 if you use it double)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user casts an illusion over an area that allows him to manipulate the way an area looks to fool an opponent. He can only change the way the terrain looks, and not any other feature.

For a heartbeat, his reflection in the window hesitated half a breath behind him. He blinked, confused, and rubbed his temple. In that distraction her other hand slid a carbon copy sheet between two ledgers and pressed down, transferring his fresh signature. When he turned back, the window moved in perfect sync again. He noticed nothing.
By mid-afternoon the depot thinned as crews rotated to the docks. Narberal lingered, pretending to catalog sealed crates. The longer she stayed, the mroe invisible she became; familiarity dulled suspicion. When the final bell before supper rang, Fesk left for inspection rounds, keys jangling at his belt. She followed at a measured distance, counting his turns until he entered the restricted archives chamber, then waited until the echo of boots faded. Only one guard remained at the corridor’s end. She stooped, feigning a dropped quill.

( Magen: Narakumi ) - Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing
[spoier]Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user performs two handseals causing it to appear as if a swirl of leaves surrounds the opponent. The swirl eventually falls away, and after a few seconds, the opponent sees the image of whatever they fear the most, shocking them and potentially causing them to faint.[/spoiler]

The guard’s world folded in on itself. To him, fire ripped through the hallway; his armor melted, screams clawed at his ears. He fled toward the stairwell, howling. Narberal rose, slipped through the archive door, and pressed it shut behind her.

Rows of scroll cabinets climbed to the ceiling, the air heavy with parchment rot. A chakra seal burned faintly across the lock, rudimentary but dangerous if forced. She steadied her hands, traced the inscription’s outer loop, and breathed chakra along its path.

( Hijutsu: Fūinjutsu Kai ) – Secret Technique: Sealing Release
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra: N/A (same chakra as the seal thats to be released)
Damage: N/A
Description: The user can use this technique to dispel sealing techniques of various natures by forcefully breaking open the seal or, in extreme cases, erasing/cancelling them. For seals placed on a living medium, the user must make contact with the seal. For other seals, being in short range of it is enough. Normally, to perform this technique one needs to do the confrontation or the tiger handseal.

The characters flickered, then dissolved like dust on water. The door yielded with a sigh. Inside waited ledgers bound in black twine, stacked by decade. She found Fesk’s compartment and drew out the newest book. Every page was double-coded, but repetition betrays pattern; she compared strokes, finding where the falsified exports hid under the ink. Hidden notations linked to symbols used by smugglers, an internal language of numbers and animal names: crow, serpent, lotus. The same cipher from Eastwatch’s ledgers. The thorn-and-flame were not here to rule; they were here to feed.
She transcribed the sequence on thin paper, layering her handwriting to match the depot’s style. Each letter needed to look tired, each numeral slightly misaligned. Forgery was another kind of illusion, and illusion was her blood.

Halfway through, a new voice echoed from the hall.
“Fesk said no one is to be here.”
Narberal froze. Footsteps. Two this time. She closed the ledger, slipped it back, and pressed herself into the gap between cabinets. The door opened. Light lanced across the floor.
“Probably rats,” one man said. The other muttered, “Still, we check.” Boots scuffed closer.

(Katon: Kitsunebi) - Fire Release: Fire Whisp
Type: Offensive
Rank: C
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 15
Damage: 30
Description: The user creates a small ball of bright fire from their mouth that shoots at the opponent burning on impact

A tiny ball of fire shot from her mouth, to the far shelf igniting a single candle stub she’d planted earlier. The faint flame cast long, dancing shadows that made the cabinets seem to breathe. The soldiers swore and rushed toward it. She stepped behind them, two silent strikes, one nerve cluster below the jaw, one to the solar plexus. They fell quietly. She dragged them into the corner and doused the flame before smoke could reach the corridor.

( Tora Kijuuki Ryousha Katachi Genkotsu ) - Tiger Crane Paired Form Fist
Type: Offensive
Rank: A
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage points: 60
Description: The user carefully controls their breathing and then delivers two very powerful strikes to their target. One blow, a punch, should strike the collarbone with enough force to crack it while the other, a palm strike, should strike the throat and crush the windpipe.

Sweat prickled her neck. Fear wasn’t what she felt; it was concentration burning too long. She gathered the copied pages, rolled them, and slipped them into a hollow between binding boards of an old ledger to smuggle past checkpoints later. Then she exhaled, sealing her chakra back down until her pulse matched the distant rain outside.
At dusk, inspection horns sounded from the yard. Narberal cleaned the ink stains from her borrowed desk, stacked the forms she’d falsified, and joined the stream of workers leaving through the south gate. Fesk passed her in the crowd, muttering about missing manifests, never noticing the duplicate copy she carried under the strap of her satchel. She walked until the depot’s lanterns blurred into haze. The sea lay ahead, gray under low cloud, breakers whispering against the base of the Wall. She found a narrow watch-post half-collapsed into the rocks and slipped inside. Only then did she release the jutsu that bound her disguise.

Ink vanished from her fingers; fatigue crept in. Fireflies rose from the grass, gathering around her knees like small ghosts. Their glow reflected in the copied pages she unfolded, names of ships, falsified cargo, secret supply lines threading through Qindong and back to Eastwatch. Not the thorn-and-flame’s core, but their arteries. Enough to cut later. She stared at the handwriting, her own imitation of Fesk’s, until the lines blurred. In that blur she almost saw herself multiplied: the clerk, the ghost, the woman behind both. Too mny faces; none felt anchored. The Pale Woman watched from the reflection in the page, silent, waiting.
A crow’s caw broke the stillness. She extended two fingers toward the sky.

(Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Karasu no satsujin) - Summoning Technique: A Murder of Crows
Type: Offensive/Defensive/Supplementary
Rank: C
Range: Short
Chakra: 15
Damage: 20
Description: The user will summon a flock of small normal sized crows which can be used in a variety of ways. The user can use them to simply distract and slow down a target or use them to simply attack them with their beaks.

The summoned bird alighted on the parapet, feathers slick with drizzle. From their flying and actions, she saw Fesk pacing his office, shouting orders, fear tinting every syllable. He would spend the night searching for an intruder that never existed. The illusion would hold. It always did. The copied documents slid into an oil-skin pouch against her chest. Objective met: infiltration, surveillance, acquisition. Yet the victory felt hollow. Each success made the lie smoother, the mask heavier. Deception no longer felt like art, it felt like breathing.

Rain deepened to a curtain. Narberal pulled her cloak close and started up the slope toward the barracks lights. The Great Wall loomed beside her, its stones wet and gleaming, each one carved with the memory of wars long gone. Above, thunder rolled, distant, unthreatening, a sound like old gods turning in their sleep. She walked until Shaohai’s hum swallowed the sea. Behind her, the fireflies flickered out one by one, and the last glow faded into fog. Ahead waited another ledger, another mask, another name. The Pale Woman kept walking.

The ink on the stolen manifests had barely dried when the next thread appeared. Among the forged cargo routes she had copied, one destination repeated again and again beneath false seals: Qindong.
It was time to go back and investigate what was going on.

Arriving from Ruins of Chungsu (001)

A-Rank Mission
  • Let off some steam

The night air was eerily still as Nanashi sat upon a small cliff face, his eyes spying the rundown barracks basking within the moonlight. He had been watching the abandoned location since dusk, and he was pleasantly surprised by what he had stumbled upon. A mid to large group of bandits had taken up residence and Nanashi was getting an urge.

He had been keeping his anger in check since he had been let go from whatever organization had captured him the previous day? He honestly had no idea how long he had been kept there, and the loss of time was causing an itch he desperately needed to scratch. He needed others to feel how helpless he had felt during that time, and he could see these unwilling participants would be the perfect stress reliever.

Nanashi rose from his position and with no hesitation, he leapt down the cliff face, landing along the slope and sliding down the rough surface, a cloud of dust billowing behind him. In the distance, he could hear an alarm ring out from the barracks. Looks like they have some sharp eyes there, this should make things much more fun.

He grinned as he saw a few men on the walls release what seemed to be relatively weak fireball jutsu. As some rocketed towards him, he paid no mind to the ones that weren't remotely close to his position. But what fun was there in dodging when he could return the favor. Swiping his hand, he released his chakra into the ground around him, forming the earth around him into 6 canine heads, 2 of which rocket through the incoming fire jutsu, and collide with the wall where the men stood before the rest.

Type: Offensive
Rank: S
Range: Mid - Long
Chakra: 40
Damage: 80
Description: A technique where the user creates ferocious canine chakra avatars from the land itself. They will pursue their targets relentlessly in order to clamp down on them with their jaws, restraining and crushing them, and their speed is so great that they were even able to catch Sage ranked Ninja. The user can also transmit elemental jutsu through the body of one of the canines after it grasps a target, causing it to travel the length of its body at normal speeds until it erupts from the mouth.

Nanashi would then leap upon one of the remaining 4 heads and surf along with it as they raced in through the broken wall and into the center of the encampment. As the canine heads wreak havoc on the main force of bandits, Nanashi would leap from his position and unsheathe his sword, slashing through one of the trembling bandits as he landed. Not wasting any time, he flashed forward, slashing his blade through bandit after bandit as they tried to defend themselves and their comrades.

Type: Offensive
Rank: C
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage points: 30
Description: With this technique, the user will make a sequence of slashes with their sword and finishes with a powerful final slash dealing damage to their enemy.

Nanashi was a whirling blur with his blade, even the blood was afraid to stain the steel as it cut down more bandits. Something inside Nanashi was stirring with every slash. Something exhilarating and familiar. He couldn't stop the smile that slowly crept across his face, this was fun, and it was feeding something inside him. Each scream of pain drove him to move faster onto the next victim, even after the canine heads had ceased their destruction and he became the focus of the remaining bandits.

Nanashi panted as he stared down the circle of bandits that had surrounded him, the smile almost permanently etched on his face.

”Come on! More! I'm nowhere near sated yet! “ he called out at the hesitant men, before one brave, or stupid, bandit ran forward toward him. In a quick movement, Nanashi sheathed his blade and engaged the single fool. Ducking and weaving the incoming fists and kicks, he would block, parry and retaliate with swift strikes to the man's joints.

The others slowly grew some spine and all charged forward, attempting to aid their bludgeoned comrade. Nanashi would kick the first bandit into a group of three, bowling them over before he dodged an incoming hammer strike with a back handspring. Releasing his chakra into the earth, he would gain the ability to sense everyone in contact with the ground, allowing for him to maximize his spatial awareness.

He charged forward, tackling the hammer wielding bandit to the ground, disarming him of his weapon, knocking the hammer up and kicking it at the head of an incoming attacker. He would then shift into a position and break the dominant arm of the man he tackled, quickly moving on as the man screamed in pain and fainted. He leapt into the air and kicked one man square in the chest, landing and spinning to sweep the legs of two more. Swiftly taking two kunai from his pouch and stabbing them in the chest, he couldn't help letting out a manic laugh as he sensed through the earth his next target.

He turned in time to see a bandit release a fireball towards him, swiping his arm up and releasing more chakra, he raised a mid sized wall of earth to block against it. Not wasting the movement he launched himself to the top of the wall, using it as a springboard as he leapt into the air, performing some hand seals as he called out.

Type: Defensive
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A
Description: The user will first perform the Tiger → Hare → Boar → Dog and then creates a solid wall of earth as a form of defense. Chakra is either converted to earth within the body and then spat out to form the wall or the user can manipulate pre-existing earth to form the wall. The earth then instantly rises up and takes form. The barrier itself is also coated with chakra, making its strength incomparable to that of a normal mud wall. Because of the earth's special characteristics, the wall is highly resistant against, for instance, fire and water. Hizuren Sarutobi spits mud from his mouth to perform the jutsu whilst Kakashi creates a wall composed of bulldog sculptures to box-in Pain.

”You call that a fireball? Here's a real one!”

He released the chakra he had built up in his chest and released a large ball of fire towards the man, who Nanashi noticed had resigned to his fate, his screams piercing through the night air as he burned. Landing gracefully in an animalistic pose, he shot forward again, unsheathing his sword once more to dispose of a few bandits who had grouped close together.

Type: Offensive
Rank: A
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 30
Damage: 60
Description: The user will manipulate their chakra and breath out from their mouth a large fireball that travels at the opponent. As it reaches the opponent it bursts into a maelstrom of fire engulfing them in flames.

Nanashi’s smile began to falter, this was starting to get boring. After disposing of another trembling bandit, Nanashi would leapt back to the center of the encampment, slamming his hands down upon the earth. The ground crumbled and broke apart falling into dark murky liquid as Nanashi converted the entire ground under the entire barracks into a giant swamp, the only solid ground remaining being the 5 by 5 ft platform he stood upon and a small thin walkway leading to the edge of the swamp, watching the remaining bandits squirm and struggle against the tar like substance.

Type: Supplementary
Rank: A - Forbidden (S)
Range: Short - Long
Chakra: 30 - 50 (40)
Damage: N/A
Description: The user will first perform Boar → Tiger and then by changing the surface of an object beneath an enemy into mud and creating a non flammable swamp, the user can sink his enemy into the mud. The adhesive, chakra-infused mud ensnares the enemy's body, making it almost impossible to recover one's strength and escape from the swamp. The size and depth of the created swamp depends on the user's skill and the amount of chakra used, but if the user is an expert in this technique, it will always be possible to make a thick, newer impossible to move in swamp which is extremely effective against a great number of enemies or when having to face gigantic creatures.
Note: A rank use can extend up to mid range and will cause a target to become engulfed after one turn and suffocate after taking 60 damage per turn.
Note: S rank use can only be used by Primary Earth Specialists and can extend up to a single landmark in range and will cause a target to become engulfed and suffocate after one turn, taking 80 damage per turn.
Note: Forbidden ranked use can only be used by Jiraiya and Komi bios. It can only be used 2 times and is causing targets engulfed to suffocate in a single turn and can be up to 100 meters deep and wide and/or up to two landmarks. After ending, the user cannot use for 2 turns.

Nanashi would pant as the screams faded as they were submerged, their lives ending as they sank into the murky depths. He took a moment to catch his breath and look around at his work. Satisfied with the results and feeling much better, Nanashi would watch the sun breach the horizon as dawn sprang forth, marking the new day and shedding light upon the blood soaked clothing of Nanashi.

[Mission end]

Nanashi would remain on the small platform for the next several hours, napping in the warmth of the rising sun, before walking the narrow path off the platform and continuing on his journey, perhaps to the ocean to wash off his clothes.
