Versus threads these days are so irritating, and at some point "G.A.Y" to highest level.

All Badass Manga & Anime Characters vs Usopp (child version with sling-shot)

and so on...

I prefer two ordinary manga\anime characters facing each other. No supernatural powers.

I say mid. cause shanks will struggle with sick WB but if it was prime WB he would get owned. Shanks didn't reach his prime yet imo. we'll see incredible feats from him once we see him again in the manga.

Shanks is in his prime. He's 39. Shanks never fought sick WB so we don't know who would have won (from what we've seen WB wins due to the lack of Shanks feats).

Whitebeard had heart problems. If Shanks's went all out with him he could had a chance to win (could). Prime WB is a different deal.

Prime Whitebeard was Yonko level but he was fighting Roger equally. Currently Shanks is the strongest Yonko (some may disagree with me).

We don't know how much WB's age effected him so we can't estimate how strong Prime WB was. But if we have to then this is how i'd do it. Taking into account that Shanks is the strongest Yonko.

Roger=Whitebeard=Garp

Garp slightly>Sengoku

Sengoku is FA level

Current FA is Akainu.

Akainu=Sengoku (Debatable)

Shanks>Sengoku and Akainu.

Sengoku vs Garp. Sengoku loses High-diff.

Shanks vs Garp. Shanks would lose Very High-diff

Garp=Roger=Whitebeard

Therefore Shanks loses to Roger high-diff. I know a>b>c logic isn't valid but when there's little information on characters strengths, it can be used. Also. Roger mid-diffing Shanks doesn't seem right to me.

I have to give this to Roger.

Shanks fought a sick whitebeard, who IMO was way passed his prime. Yet, whitebeard in his prime was able to fight on equal footing with Roger and Garp.

Garp at his old age, admitted that he was going to kill akainu who is in his prime. So the level of power garp had in his prime must have been monsterous, which gives testament to Roger's power since they were rivals.

All in all, I think Roger could take shanks with Easy to Mid di​

ff.

But give Shanks a break though! :| Imo, he's the strongest Yonko at this exact time, and he's probably smack dab in the middle of his prime. So I still think he would give Roger a hard fight.

I know people love to use the fact that he and Whitebeard clashed their weapons and tied. And because Whitebeard was old then, people believe he was way stronger than Shanks back in the day. But we don't know how that fight would've ended if they actually decided to fight to the death. Maybe Shanks would win easier than people think, maybe he would lose. Maybe they would just call it a truce because it's a perfect tie.

I'm leaning towards Shanks winning because of WB's health. But this opinion might change by tomorrow, so don't look too much into it

I know shanks is strong for sure, i was just over-exaggerating.

All we can gather from Prime Rogers: Omniscient, Ancient weapons, and sword/gun user.

Shanks: serious strength to equal wb, sword expert, kings haki that can damage inanimate objects, other haki's that are very good too.....

Don't think any top tier would push an old sick WB any more than high difficulty and lose in battle, thus I think Prime WB/Roger would beat Shanks and the other top tiers mid difficulty.

Whitebeard became good deal weaker due to age and illness over the years and that didn't stop him from being the world's strongest man, so no Shanks has not and never will surpass Roger. hmm
