Their name even resounds in other countries, the "Seven Swordsmen Shinobi of the
Mist"
Long ago, the horrible "kill another student" graduation exam was carried out,
and from this the Hidden Mist Village was given the nickname "Blood Mist
Village"...
In that village, the seven shinobi who excelled in battle ability and produced
the highest battle results were named the "Seven Swordsmen Shinobi" because they
wielded swords, but because of aspirations to have great power, Kisame was the
first of many to become missing-nins. Their current whereabouts are unknown.
The Seven's fame is known well in other countries, for the large
swords they carry.

Zabuza Momochi, "Demon of the Hidden Mist": In the past, Kirigakure had the practice of pitting Ninja Academy graduates against each other in a battle to the death for a final exam. When Zabuza, not yet a student himself, killed all one hundred of that year's students, the practice was discontinued. Zabuza would thereafter be known as the "Demon of the Hidden Mist." His fame grew over the years, as he became both an ANBU and a member of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist. He also killed the Konohagakure ninja Kumade Toriichi. At some point he discovered Haku, a child with a special kekkei genkai and began training him to be the ultimate weapon. In time he attempted to kill the Mizukage in a failed coup d'?tat, and subsequently fled with Haku and some other followers, such as the Demon Brothers.
Kisame Hoshigaki, "Monster of the Hidden Mist": Kisame is a former member of Kirigakure's Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, an ever-changing group of ninja that wield particularly large weapons in battle. While in Kiri, Kisame is given the title of "Monster of the Hidden Mist". He is also known to have formed a connection to Suigetsu Hōzuki and Mangetsu Hōzuki. His former country, the Land of Water, sought him out, for plotting to overthrow its government and being involved in numerous assassinations, including that of a daimyo of an unknown country. Kisame later joined Akatsuki, and was partnered with Itachi Uchiha.
Raiga Kurosuki, "Thunder of the Hidden Mist": While he was still loyal to Kirigakure and a member of ANBU, Raiga met Ranmaru, a disabled boy who came to act as additional eyes and ears for Raiga in exchange for being carried upon his back. Ranmaru would become the only person Raiga cared about, despite Ranmaru's pacifist nature and Raiga's love for battle. After his defection Raiga enslaved a town and forced its villagers to work in its mines, also assembling some followers (including Karashi) to form the Kurosuki Family. Besides him, his followers wore a hooded robe, gloves that sprout claws from the back of the hand, and enforced his laws. Should a law of his be broken, that person would end up being buried alive.
Chōjūrō: Is a member of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, wielder of a double-handled sword named Hiramekarei. He is one of two Kirigakure ninja selected to escort the Fifth Mizukage to the Kage summit.
Chōjūrō has blue hair, and black eyes with sharp, shark-like teeth; traits that Zabuza Momochi, Kisame Hoshigaki, and Suigetsu Hōzuki have; all of these characters are associated with the famed Seven Ninja Swordsmen of Kirigakure. He wears black-rimmed glasses connected to what appear to be headphones. He also wears a blue striped shirt and camouflage pattern pants that resemble the clothing Zabuza wore during his first appearance. Also, he wears his forehead protector like a badge on his chest. He carries Hiramekarei on his back, wrapped with large bandages. He also has a shuriken holder strapped onto each leg.
