Serpent Steppes

The Serpent Steppes is an area of twisting mountain paths, corridors and maze-like rock formations all composed of sleek and slippery rock specked with sharp, dangerous spikes that can easily hurt an inattentive traveler. The area’s geology was used strategically by the Yotsuki Clan to combat invading Kaguya raiders in 646 and a few skeletal remains can still be found here. A large, open-pit limestone mine has been opened in the area’s center, filling much of it with dust from the work during the daytime.

Raditz made it past the terrain of the last landmark. It seemed like this entire country was inhabited by mountains and seeing the same thing for so long was beginning to irritate Raditz. As he traveled the landmark, he noticed twisting mountain paths, corridors and maze-like rock formations all composed of sleek and slippery rock specked with sharp, dangerous spikes that can easily hurt an inattentive traveler.

Raditz thought to himself that this terrain would be perfect for a snake. He didnt know that the name of the landmark was Serpent Steppes. The way he came to that conclusion because of how slippery and slick it was. What also gave it away was the increased amount of danger withing the landmark. But like any saiyan, he thrived on the thrill of the challenge and never backed down from it to prove his strength. He had to be stronger than the land that he planned to overthrow.

Soon Raditz was coming to the end of the labrynth that he was traversing through. Ahead of him there was a bright light which he could only assume was the exit of the more complicated maze created by nature. With the end in sight, Raditz decided that he was doing to sprint to it. As he passed the opening, the bright light overwhelmed his vision causing him to put one arm over his face to shield his eyes allowing them to adjust after leaving that dark murky maze that he traveled thru.

Afterwards, he was able to bring his arm from in front of him now that he is able to see clearly before himself. On his face was a sinnister smirk on his face from conquering the dangerous landmark that could possibly take his life if he wasnt careful. He made it thru and was ready to continue moving forward. As he stood tall, with perfect posture, he was able to casually continue down the path he was heading with pride in himself, in his ability, and his achievements in the future.

Alucard had managed to "Escape" - the Oxen Gateway buried frames or Minotaurs as he had called them. His tunneling technique would be used again to carve a path through the Serpent Steps, which would continue northwards.

(Doton: Ton'neru chika no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Tunneling Technique
Type: Supplementary
Rank: C
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 15
Damage: N/A
Description: The user after performing the required hand seals Ram → Dog → Rat → Bird is able to create a wide tunnel in the ground, this cannot travel through rock though or anything with a high density. The large tunnel that is created allows the user to transport others without detection.
Note: The initial entry of the technique is short range.

✝ The Confrontation ✝
The two had reached the Serpent Steppes. A slippery mountain pass that had earned its name after the serpentine-esque mountains and mazes that stretched and surrounded the north to west and east. According to legend, there was also a hidden peak that was located here, said to be the real reason for the landscapes name and judging by the fact it was the lair of the deity of the sky - the emerald of creation it made quite sense since the dragon was also looking partially serpentine. As the two got entered Serpent Steppes, the mine had been evacuated leaving them totally alone with Rayquaza.

I ain't climbing this shit, do your thing Al.

So young and so bitter.. Kinbo, Jozai Tensei!

Alucard gathered his chakra and started to lift debris around the two of them from the ground and the surroundings to form into a platform that they both well fitted on. They began their ascent, not by climbing but by flying. Alucard had created his platform of gravitational held-together debris consisting mostly of rocks and limestone.

( Kinbō Tensei Jōzai ) - Localized Reincarnation Tablet
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 30 (+15 per turn active)
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user creates a floating sphere from nearby debris beneath them, using the gravitational control to levitate the sphere of debris and use it as a floating platform. Keeping it active, however, requires the user to expend chakra.
Note: Can only be used by Tenseigan Bios.

Upon the release of the technique, the two would start to float above the ground, both sitting on the rocks that were tied together by gravity control. Their presence were already compromised to the beast of the skies the moment they set foot in the landmark and this was quite clear judging by the fact that storm clouds started to form above them. It seemed like the beast had control over the weather to some extent. Rain started to fall, only the drops weren't liquid entirely but half frozen and started to blister the skin on Alucard and his Edo. Normal people would suffer sustained damage but due to both of them being capable of passive healing this only went from a considerate threat to annoyance. Alucards Tenseigan was not fooled by the weather and he could pinpoint Sky Pillar after having floated in the air for about half an hour. He pinpointed the chakra signature he had seen once before. It resided on the highest peak in the land, hidden in a streak of clouds that was probably controlled by Rayquaza. It moved not but rather expanded its control over the clouds above Alucard and his Edo who still remained on the platform. A heatwave would pulsate from the dragon, instantly warming up the cold air and create the dance of electrons. The charged natural lightning would shape into an avatar of the being itself, a majestic dragon. Alucard could see the chakra building up before the dragon of pure lightning was formed and he was ready for it.

Here it comes..

(Raiton: Kirin) - Lightning Release: Kirin
Type: Offensive
Rank: S
Range: Mid-Long
Chakra: 70
Damage: 100 + 40
Description: After using a fire jutsu to heat the atmosphere and create thunderclouds in the sky, the user will use Chidori to take control of the lightning above. They can then make the lightning strike an opponent in the blink of an eye.
Note: Can only be used by Lightning Specialists.
Note: Can only be avoided with time/space techniques or otherwise absolute defenses.
Note: Can only be used twice per battle.
Note: In the turn before the use of Kirin, the user must have used at least a B-Rank, Long Range Fire (Katon) technique directed at the sky.
Note: User needs to post Chidori, meaning that in the turn Kirin is used, the user spends 2 moves.

Alucard had revved up chakra into his right palm, a massive surge of chakra echoed through it as he would use his ultimate dark release technique to absorb this beast of lightning.

Kokuyōseki no sora!

(Meiton/Inton: Kokuyōseki no sora | Dark/Yin Release: Obsidian Sky)
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 70
Damage: 140
Description: Obsidian Sky is a technique in which the user incorporates their Yin as well as their Dark release together to create the ultimate chakra siphoning technique. Through the use of Yin, the dark release absorption aspect loses its weaknesses to earth and water/other solid/liquid materials and lets the user absorb anything of the same chakra level while at the same time absorb enough chakra from an incoming technique for it to directly lose one rank, similar to the tethering abilities of Hungry Ghost. Unlike Hungry Ghost, however, this technique doesn't latch on to the opponent if it goes through and eats their chakra but simply applies the debuff on their technique. However, the strengths of the absorption release is also rendered neutral, meaning this technique can essentially absorb the same amount of chakra the user spends in their initial move. It is exactly the same for the release version of the technique with a total immunity to any weakness/strength and rendered neutral to everything and thus only overpowering techniques that has lesser damage output. When it comes to the release form of the aspect of this technique, the standard blue flames have changed aesthetically. The flames have a slightly different pattern than normal dark release techniques. It's aesthetics has changed into which the flames are pitch black with a cyan flare on the edges. On the inside there are images resembling that of a clear night sky, filled with celestial bodies. This is a passive aesthetic change and carries no weight in battle.
Note: When the user has performed the release version of this technique, they are hindered from using S-rank and above techniques for two turns afterwards, as well as Yin/Dark release techniques above A-rank. This applies for both times the release version is used.
Note: In the same turn the user uses the absorption function, they cannot use any other dark release techniques.
Note: The release form of the technique can only be used twice per battle, with a two turn-cooldown.
Note: The absorption form can be used 4 times per battle, with a two-turn cooldown.
Note: After usage, the user must wait two turns to use again for the absorption part and 4 for the release part.

A black hole formed into Alucards right palm, essentially sucking the lightning from the sky into his open palm and simply deleted the lightning dragon from existence while feeding him with chakra that he could use later to form into a dark release technique beyond comprehension. Alas, it was no need for releasing the Obsidian Sky technique. Yet, anyway. The Edo was having trouble locating the beast in this weather and started to get annoyed by the fact that he was pretty much useless in this fight as he lacked any sensory whatsoever.

Cap, i want you to take care of the civilians if any are remaining. I got this one.

Hmpf..

The edo jumped off the platform, he did not even try to convince Alucard to stay in the battle but rather wanted to feel useful. Meanwhile, Alucard would taunt the dragon to come down from its throne and face him in the sky. He wanted an epic battle now more than anything. With a whisper he would utter, with a calm but also threatening voice.

It's just you and me now

Rayquaza got the memo and left Sky Pillar, flying straight into the sky above its original position. It was so fast that a trail of clouds would form behind its tail. Alucard was just barely able to catch up with its speed even with his Tenseigan as it coiled up to a combat position ready to devour him. Up to this point, he had been on the defensive side but no more. He was going to take down this dragon. As he remained on his platform, Alucard would gather up his chakra and take aim. He used his water and krypton release at the same time. He started off by kneading a massive amount of suiton chakra through his body and resulted in expelling a massive bullet of water from his mouth.

(Suiton: Suidan no Jutsu) - Water Release: Water Bullet Technique
Type: Offensive/Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 40
Damage: 80 + 30
Description: The user inhales and molds a great amount of chakra into their chest, exhaling a very large quantity of water in the form of a powerful torrent towards their intended target. The stream of water is so powerful and concentrated it can rip through most obstacles in its path. The stream itself contains so much concentrated water that it can flood medium to large sized depressions of the battle field in relatively short amounts of time.

However, at the same time, he would make use of krypton chakra, using an infusion technique that would turn the water release into a new element of water/krypton by using the Bastion technique.

(Kuriputon: Basution | Liquid Krypton Release: Bastion) (Passive)
Type: Supplementary
Rank: A-S
Range: N/A
Chakra: N/A
Damage: N/A
Description: Bastion is a technique that focuses on the noble prospects of the element Krypton as a chemical neutralizer and a thermainsulator. The Bastion technique works like an infusion which can grant afflicted and appropriate elements and techniques similar properties as long as they can coincide with being sub-zero and stable as a result. The performance of the technique occurs in the same timeframe as the technique that is being infused as it applies the effects rapidly. The thermainsulation properties granted is translated into a massive resistance to heat and radiance as well as cold as the element/technique that is infused has been granted the effect of thermainsulation. This translates, in clashes, into a debuff or shielding or residual properties of elements clashing with techniques that are empowered through bastion. Elements that are hot and clash with techniques infused with Bastion becomes cold rather instantaneously and loses one rank in efficacy which in shorter terms is a debuff. Fire and lightning would be two elements exposed to this as an example, other elements do not experience this debuff so low-energy or elements that can exist without having to put constant energy or fuel into it are not suspectible to this debuff(water/wind/earth) etc. Naturally, elements of solid nature would benefit the most out of Bastion as the colder any matter gets, it will ultimately solidify. Techniques that derive from elements that make up the Liquid Krypton element(Wind/Water) are suspectible to this infusion and can be used with it. Moving on, the technique has two ranks of infusion, categorized into the amount of chakra the user spends on the infusion.

A-Rank
The A-rank version will apply a hefty amount of chakra into the infused technique and the thermalinsulation properties will take effect immediately. A technique will become extremely dense and blank on the surface as the Bastion technique spreads through the entirety of the technique. A damage buff will be given of +20 to a technique boosted with the A-rank version. This rank will transform solids infused into crystalline formations that deflect sunlight like a mirror. Liquids will become slowly flowing with sparkling touches and gasses will become an icy slush-storm.
S-rank
The S-rank version will apply a significant amount of chakra into the infused technique and the thermalinsulation properties will take effect immediately. A technique becomes much more dense with a crystalline and icy structure on the surface. A damage buff of +30 will be given and elements infused with this rank are also given the same properties as that of the A-rank version.
Note: A-rank version can be used x4 per battle and requires a 2 turn cool-down. User may not use any Liquid Krypton techniques above A rank after use for two turns.
Note: S-rank version can be used x2 per battle and requires a 3 turn cool-down. User may not use any Liquid Krypton techniques above B rank after use for two turns.

The element was so cold that it immediately froze all the electric charges in the clouds nearby as well as acting as an insulator for further lightning techniques, should Rayquaza keep using the same element. A massive crystalline icy bullet would tear through the sky, with destination dragon. Alucard watched carefully on how the beast would react to this and he already knew from previous encounters how fast it was, maybe fast enough to force him to go into steroid mode. Twas too early to tell though. It was Rayquazas move now though and seeing it reacting to Alucards majestic ice bullet, it would surprisingly not dodge it. Instead, it started to pulsate chakra from its glowing distinctive parts on its slender body. Alucard would see that it made use of something similar to wind release but it wasn't wind. Not a second later, and there would be a storm created from its head. A storm so large that it swallowed all the clouds in the sky and completely dwarfed Alucards water/krypton bullet in both size and power as it completely smashed through it with ease.

( Taiton: Mōfū Daireppa ) - Typhoon Release: Great Consecutive Bursting Extreme Winds
Type: Offensive
Rank: Forbidden
Range: Short - Long ( Short range radius, long range reach)
Chakra: 50
Damage: 90 + 60 = 150
Description: The user summons a massive tornado, intense enough to not only dwarf a Complete Body — Susanoo, but also match it. Despite its power, the technique has an exploitable flaw. The user is left defenseless at the eye of the storm. Should the enemy reach it, they can easily counter with a suprise attack.
Note: Can only be used once every two turns

As it expanded rapidly almost like Shinra Tensei itself, Alucard noticed that the chakra was surrounding Rayquaza but left an eye in the storm where he could find an exploit. As long as the wind was still.. It was going to be an ugly one, but Alucard took the chance, a high-risk and high potential reward move. Using his chakra, Alucard would form the puppet curse sphere. He would put it in a high speed trajectory so that it would curve beyond the storm and land in the middle of the eye and hit the dragon. If it would succeed, he would've won the battle. If it would fail, he would maybe die.

I'll show my true colors now, Rayquaza.

( Ningyō Noroitama ) - Puppet Cursing Technique
Type: Offensive/Supplementary/Defensive
Rank: S
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra: 40
Damage: 80
Description: The user molds his chakra into the form of a green-coloured sphere. This sphere is held and can be seen as similar to the Rasengan in appearance. By sending it at an opponent, the user can use these spheres to temporarily take control of an opponent's body, effectively turning them into a puppet, with limitations of course. It also has tactical purposes, allowing the user to read the minds of those it enters, mentally linking to the user. These spheres can also have damaging effects, causing damage if used as an offensive sphere of chakra, similar to Rasengan. The user cannot use it for both puppet mimicry and to damage the opponent in the same turn. The user can alternatively use the offensive variant through his actual puppets, not the ones used from this jutsu.
Note: Cannot be used to force the opponents to kill or injure themselves.
Note: Only two puppets can be controlled at a time via this method and up to Kage ranked. Hold over the puppets last for only a single turn.
Note: Can only be used by Otsutsuki Clan bios.

As the sphere would curve its way passed the whirlwind, Alucard himself would stand defenseless against it's wrath and be swallowed by it, completely demolishing the platform he was standing upon and knocking his mangled body to the ground. he would take considerable damage just to end the fight earlier to avoid widespread destruction of not only this landmark but the ones neighboring it as well. As a meteorite, he slammed into the ground damn near dead by the impact, only saved by the considerable amount of damage his Ghoulspine specialty allowed him to take on, shaving almost a third of the damage of the technique he was hit by. Alucard rose up from the pit he had been knocked down into and looked up into the sky. He knew not if the projectile he had used had worked or not but he would make an attempt to steer Rayquaza towards him as if it had become his puppet. With one hand he wiped the blood from his mouth and with the other he could mentally link himself with Rayquaza. It seemed like the curse had hit the dragon.. But..

..Somethings not right here.. What are you?

It did not have a mind, Alucard was steering a husk of a body that now fell helplessly from the skies only to smash into the Sky Pillar, having it collapse on the impact. As he approached the body, he could see it starting to turn into ash as if someone else was puppeteering it and did rather want it disintegrate than allow someone else to have it.

This thing i've hunted, it's without a soul it's a.. re-animation?

Alucard watched as the body of Rayquaza ceased to exist, leaving only a crater and a collapsed slope as a mark of its death. He only knew one group capable of necromancy of this level, he had fought them before. Question now was if this whole thing was just a hoax or if these being actually existed once before.

It's them, the one's who devour souls.. My number one enemy that i swore to cripple, they just don't know how to give up. No need, this time i will come to them. Give up or not, i will destroy them.

Alucard would mark the spot of the dragons fall with mountain flowers he would collect on the slopes below to pay respect. It was with a heavy heart he returned towards Dainashi where he would need to consult Integra on what to do next. He would let his wounds heal naturally, he wanted to be reminded of mortality as he wandered through the landscapes back to his capital. His edo Tensei would rejoin him in the landmark north of Serpents Steppes.
