Seriously Jiraiya! Why you wasted Naruto's time?

Those 3 years!! All you got to show for it was a bigger Rasengan?

How come you didn't thought up the shadow clone training?

How come you didn't teach him sage mode or even take him to the frog place?

How come you didn't help him figure out his element?

No excuses at all.

All that training Naruto did in Part 2 could've easily been done during those 3 years.

behind what? He was doing better than most people in Part 1. Then in early part 2, he clearly showed that he ain't learn much at all!

the kid didnt know shit, he was tenacious and could think outside the box but he was dumb af in part1.

part 2 when him and sakura fight kakashi for the bells it shows how much he learned and had actually become more ninja-esque
lol

SO I guess all that teamwork with Sasuke throughout part 1 didn't teach him shit at all?

3 years is more than enough time to learn the basic, sage mode, shadow clone training, and start learning chakra mode.

correct, but sadly thats not how it happened and kishi didnt plan on most of those things properly.

That time skip was a great excuse to add more to MC's fighting style on the spot but nope, Kishi Kishi'd it.

It's fun how Naruto's first good sensei was a talking toad.

Iruka couldn't teach him academy level stuff.
Kakashi was a terrible sensei & neglected him.
Jiraiya was more self-centered and just took on a travelling assistant than a student.

Bee and Fukasaku got sh*t done.

It's called being nerfed. What fun would it be if he neg'd most of the opponents he came across?

Just goes to show he powerful he could be if plot didn't restrict him so much. :sigar:

Didn't have to nerf him. Just make the akatsuki more powerful.

I mean how poorly Naruto was trained over the timeskip is a huge plot whole but was done just to show how much stronger he would get on panel and not waste it over a time skip. It is crazy though that in part one with about two months of training total with Jiraya, Naruto learns rasengan, summoning, and how to better control the Kyubi chakra. Then in over two years with Jiraya in the time skip he learns to make a bigger rasengan and that's it. If you add into the fact that he also was prone to go into uncontrollable rages from the Kyubi chakra where he is liable to harm himself and others you could even argue he is worse than before the timeskip.

To be fair, Naruto's training with Jiraiya was more than just jutsu. Naruto learned a lot about being a ninja, the ninja world, and the intangibles. Some stuff, like that is more important than learning skills. Look no further than Boruto for the proof. Boruto was skilled as hell, knew 3 changes in chakra nature and learned rasengan faster than Naruto did, but he didn't have the core essence of what it was to be a ninja.

Lmfao Jiraiya helped Naruto regress if anything.

He spent nearly 3 years apparently trying to get Naruto to better control his kyuubi and yet lmfao that was the one thing Naruto got worse with. In the first two arcs, right after his training Naruto was already going berserk, where in part 1 he was much more tame.

There is no justification here, Jiraiya was a great character but a trash teacher. Makes sense he was just after the booty.

It's a combo of Naruto being too stupid and Jiraiya being a little TOO laidback. Should have came back with Rasenshurikan and good chakra control at the very least(meaning having the courage to taunt Kurama).
