That's probably one of the reasons I usually don't relate to such MCs. I may like them, but it's obvious that they are supposed to be unusual in a way real-life humans aren't, and can't be. It's fantasy and it's supposed to be viewed as such, but then again there are fans who engage is escapism too much, to the point of claiming to be seriously in love with fictional characters and all that.
I've never really had any problems with separating fantasy from reality. I've never been gifted but hey, learning new things is actually interesting. Besides, in reality, any talent is worthless if you don't also work, anyway. Also, thankfully, real life doesn't rely on power levels and who can bust a bigger mountain (regular everyday life, I mean)
