~The tournament follows Rei's Rules and Regulations, as well as Scary Yamato's Tag-Team Rules
~This tournament is a Double-Elimination Bracket tournament
~Competitors must be official Senseis and their official Senpai (in the case of a sensei lacking an official senpai, but wishing to compete anyhow, an official senpai whose sensei wishes not to compete will be considered with permission from said senpai's sensei)
~The tournament is all-inclusive in terms of abilities, meaning that all Customs are fair game
~Each fight has a 2 week time limit, as we all have training responsibilities and some of those are mods on top of that
~Before someone can be called to judge a fight, four turns must pass, meaning that each competitor posts twice in a battle sense (making a total of 8 battle-style posts). We're all adults/respected members of the NarutoBase community; we can talk things out among ourselves if need be
~There is no official prize for the tournament, it is just for fun. However, if contestants wish to bet an ante (probably a custom of some kind) before a match, it may make it more interesting

The range will be set as short-range between partners, and mid-range between opponents. The terrain is a flat, grassy plane with sunny weather. No water source or trees around, simply sheer field.

As agreed with Shinta, the order is as follows. "Detective L>noni1997>Shinta>Sharingdork>Detective L>etc." Which means Detective L will make this first move.

Mystogan stands, fan-headed staff in his left hand, next to Lancer. Sighing, he looked across towards the opponents, and then spoke to Lancer.
What kind of tournament did you get us mixed up in, again?

 

[Detective L]

Yamato and Yahiko,his kage,stand before two mysterious men.Pit against each other for a tournament to find the best two man shinobi team.Yamato and Yahiko were going to emerge victorious,but they had to work together.

"Allow me,Kage sama."

Wasting no time,Yamato utilises his Moku chakra and sends it through the ground towards the two men.He then manipulates it to form two huge pillars,that come from each of the men's respective sides,and slam into them.This causes both men to hit into each other with great force.

At the same time,Yahiko,releases a huge amount of snakes from his mouth that rushes towards the men at great speed.These snakes quickly cover the men,crushing and biting them.

"Hmph..humans.Sometimes,they sicken me."

Lancer standing next to Mystogan.
Oh yeah, always blame me, right?
As Lancer finishes speaking, he sees out the corner of his eye, as well as hears, a pillar rises next to him on his right, it seems as though sensei is matched with the same threat. Lancer does one hand seal and has two hands appear from just behind Lancer and Mystogan. They grab them by the ankle and throws them backwards. The jutsu does not cause any harm towards the two ninja, and they are still able to keep focus on their opponent. It seems as though they even sent snakes towards them at the same time, but since they have pushed themselves long range away (20m), they evaded the snakes and were left unharmed.

Description: The user perform's a total of five handseal's in this order - Ox, Rat, dog, boar, dragon. Shortly afterward depending on what the user want's and how much chakra they put into the technique, one to two arm's (Left & Right) with hand's will come from the ground. Depending on where the user direct's them from coming out of the ground, they can grab the target, or help the user out in a tight situation in a veriaty of different way's.
*Can only be used 3 times per battle.
*Because of the amount of chakra control it takes for this Doton technique, no earth based jutsu can be used in the next move.

At the time they are sent backwards, while in mid-air, before they even land on the ground they look to assault without hesitation. Lancer does 3 hand seals and releases a small fireball towards the ground. As it makes contact with the ground, it erupts into a inferno of flames. At the same time its being released, Mystogan does one hand seal himself and releases a wind blast which makes contact with the fire and combines to create a very large and powerful fire attack which moves up to long range towards their opponents. It burns everything in its path. While it's traveling, Lancer and Mystogan land behind the fire, away from the destruction.

Description: The user after performing the required hand seals Rat → Dog → Tiger fires a small fireball that erupts into a giant fire-storm after making contact with a surface, causing widespread destruction to the area. Since the flames travel along the ground, and cover such a wide area this is a difficult technique to evade. When combined with Wind Release: Pressure Damage, this technique is amplified to the point of being able to evaporate a large amount of water in an instant.

Just an issue with your first jutsu... you toss your and your partner by the ankles... without even informing your partner of the issue... and you want to claim you are unharmed? You'd fall face first on the ground as the arms move with the necessary speed/force to toss the two of you into the air. So yeah, you guys would have some bloody faces by now, just saying. I'll post my move and discuss with Sharingdork what damage you did to yourselves.

As such a large attack is released from the opponents, Yahiko turns his head slightly to the left in order to communicate the next course of action to him. I'll take care of this... you focus on them Yahiko's tone didn't convey the slightest bit of amusement to Yamato, having to deal with such a large scale attack so early in the skirmish. Despite this, Yahiko was ready to respond in kind and Yamato understood this fully. Before the massive fire/wind combination could reach the pair, Yahiko released a dense torrent of water from his mouth in a wide enough barricade to cover both him and Yamato, sufficiently blocking the opponent's jutsu with plenty of energy to spare.
Meanwhile, Yamato had been given his task, to take care of the airborne and vulnerable targets.Yes, Kage-sama I know exactly what to do! As Yahiko defends against the fire/wind combo, Yamato simultaneously channels his chakra into the ground, causing many thin spikes of dense wood shoot out of the ground behind Mystogan and Lancer. The wooden spikes emerge from the ground with incredible force, enough to easily impale their targets coupled with the force they were propelled backwards with. Combined with the sound of their own combination jutsu, the wooden spikes would be hard to detect let alone avoid as the not only aimed for the pair but up to mid-range to the sides, above and below them. All this combined to endure a sure-fire hit, leaving Mystogan and Lancer impaled with numerous branch-like spikes.
