Whatever the first databook said is invalid. Hashirama was trash in the first series and failed to beat an old Hiruzen in his best state together with his brother, this is just how Kishimoto kept Hashiramas level then, when it was said that he has been surpassed by Hiruzen. It doesn't make sense for Hashirama being killed by fodders if we take a look at his current power. Back then, with the power Hashirama showed against Hiruzen, he of course could have been killed by them and this is what the first databook hides, as its informations contains the first chapters.

eh? kishi imo perfectly knew what he was doing when he made the databook....Kishi wouldn't say he died in battle then go at retcon the statement.. If he was to do anything, he'd fit the manga occurrence with the databook statement somehow..as he did with tobirama
it's also stated in it that tobirama died a noble death.. we saw what the noble death was, aka protecting the group..
Hashirama's "power" was already set in his mind mostly, as the databook talks about his great ninjutsu....
also you know he was capable of amazing things conisdering the whole valley of the end... Madara and hashirama made that valley.. NO other ninjas in part 1 had skills capable of making such a rift.. that alone portrayed how strong the two parties were.....Just because kishi didnt invent his nice fancy flower world jutsu doesn't mean he didn't know hashirama would have landscape changing moukouton

Landscape changing Mokuton, perfect medical skills, extremely strong Chakra and overall excellent skills in Ninjutsu, Taijutsu and Genjutsu, Hashirama was portrayed as an ultimate Shinobi the Gokage were nothing compared with, so put one and one together. Maybe he was killed by fodders in sleep when he was already too old to even stand properly. But no way Hashirama in a good state failed in a fight against no names.
The only thing we've learned new about hashirama is his medical skills lets be realistic.. since part 1 we knew he as of the senju clan a clan known for their mastery in nin,gen and tai, we know he had landscape changing abilties from valley of the end...we saw his A rank genjutsu, one of the only a rank genjutsu's displayed in the manga at that time..
and all this, and you're saying kishi still was designing some average hokage?

he died in the wars that raging at that time, not long after forming Konoha.
Wich shows us that even though you are allmighty in battle everybody has a weakness and some random ninja at that time found the firsts.. and killed him.. damn he must have felt like badass and pretty screwed over that his name is not in the history books..

i think kishi had better explaining this kind of details. Even if they won't be revealed in the original manga series, they can be released in other manga series which will be written by kishi

Woaw it's great quote which i have seen so far. Ok, we have known that hashirama died in battle or something like that. I wish there is more details about it. Because i curious about hashramai who the one of the most powerful person in the series.
