I like V1 better, but I think that with a bit of change V2 would be better. Try lowering the saturation on V2 and blending in the render a bit more. It kind of sticks out.
Personally, I would crop the height as well, but I guess that's just personal preference, and not really a valid complaint.
Other than what I said above though it's good. I like the effects and the texture of the background.
