that's because of the running joke that biologist are dumb.... uuhhh... not so smart.
a good friend of mine actually is a biologist.... ooh wait.... not any more, he has switch to the dark side.
he now studies a alpha study (you know the social study's they give at university's for the lesser people haha (also a running joke: people that study alpha study's are the dumbest under the smart people))
and I can disprove almost any argument that religious people throw at me by using science (but I refrain myself from doing so because everybody has the right to believe what they want to believe).
