Asking a police officer not to bring his uniform and gun? I'd like to see their reaction when something goes down in that school and they look to the officer and he says I don't have my uniform ergo I can't help you. xD

The school has a right to ask that he does not bring a gun into school that is fully lawful in my knowledge, they do not have the right to discriminate based on fashion he can wear what he wants even if its offensive. Yeah they could call the cops and he would be arrested if hes off duty disturbing the peace, he would probably get absolutely nothing as many cops have been proven to have shot innocent , surrendering civilians and have just been suspended this is a norm rather than a rarity unfortunately.

Im sure many people would like it if guns were never invented regardless we live in this age so a balance must be struck. Would everyone having a gun as most gun advocates would have us believe solve gun crime? No it would mean more deaths like if you gave everyone a sharp knife there would be more both being deadly tools. Would everyone not having a gun as leftist liberals would have you believe bring deaths down? Not much if someone wants to kill you tools become a irrelevant.

I understand both sides what you need is more responsible gun users , culture , rules and background checks we need responsible, balanced , law abiding gun users in every mile of america to take down the criminals/mentally damaged/ irresponsible gun users. This is the reality we are in maybe some sort of technology will make guns redundant in the future.

You can understand their concern with the gun. With all that's happening nowadays with random gun killings. He should try better to make his gun less visible and better concealed, so no one feels threatened. Yes, he has the right to bear his arms. However, when you are making people uncomfortable or feel unsafe, and then refuse to atone your behavior with your rights as an excuse, then you're just a douche who doesn't deserve that right.

No I cannot. 99% of guns are not used in crimes and never will be. A gun is more likely to stop a crime than it is to commit a crime. We need to show these mass-shooters that we are armed and that we will shoot back. Making a would-be mass-shooter feel uncomfortable is the best thing in the world you can do, the more uncomfortable they are in a place the less likely they are to be there.

Ever notice how crazy people never go on a mass shooting in a police building but always do it in a gun-free zone?

Unnecessary regulation? If people feel unsafe because of what you're doing, then you stop doing it. Simple as that.
You are showing anger and aggression online! I feel unsafe! SOMEONE CALL THE POLICE I FEEL UNSAFE!!!

I feel unsafe seeing Bleach and Ammonia sitting next to one another on a shelf or in a school but no one seems to care about that. When the two mix they release a deadly toxin into the air that is similar to mustard gas.

There are 270 million guns in the United States (or about 89 for every 100 citizens). In 2011, there were 8,583 firearms homicides, down from 11,078 in 2010 (a decrease of 22.6%).

Thus, of the population of 270 million firearms, only about .003 percent are used for homicides (not accounting for the chance that multiple guns are used in some homicides). Let’s say for the sake of argument an average of 1.6 guns are used for each homicide, a not unrealistic estimate. In that case, we will push the stat up to about .005 percent.

That means around 99.995% of guns are not used for homicides each year in the United States. If guns actually caused murders, nearly 90% of the U.S. population would have been killed last year. Instead, only 0.0027 percent of the population were killed by people with firearms.
