The wooden armor can be removed can be removed when B or A ranked jutsus are used agianst it, allowing the user to escape the jutsu, leaving only the armor which looks like a shell of the user. Does not protect at all agianst S-ranked jutsu.

uhhh ohhh. you used a c-ranked shield to block agianst an A-ranked shield splitting spear. =/ not sure that will work my friend, This spear is like the one kimimaru used agianst garra in thier fight, a standard shield wouldnt work.
Garaa needed to use the Shild of shakaku to stop this type of spear
