I'm afraid of Spiders or tarantulas as i was bitten by a Black Widow a few years ago and ever since them i run a mile when i spot a spider haha

The survival mechanism makes us behave certain ways. It doesn't necessarily mean your scared of that thing. If you're in a controlled environment you may behave differently than in a natural one.The only real fear people have is death or an injury/condition which could lead to.

My "fear" is darkness(not referring to the night), if I'm unaware I don't have control. An example I wouldn't put my hand in a dark liquid or a whole outside for I don't know what's in it or it's contents, if I did I'd be worried/afraid.

Definitely true what you are saying but I would be afraid of wasps and grasshoppers even in a controlled environment.

If they were in a terrarium or something I still wouldn't enter that room. But maybe it is because of I have no control of how they will behave? Don't know, maybe...still terrified though.

See thats really interesting to me because that could be applied to any animal right? Grass hoppers themselves are harmless to humans, but wasps i can understand, like not wanting to be stung or anything.

I dunno I've never really had any fears that I can think of. The only real scared moments ive had is getting on stage in front of 2000 people, but even then it was more nerves than fear you know?
