Saving a Friend Chapter 1

My story takes place one year after the War. Tobi was killed and Madara was eventually defeated and sealed, Although Oonoki Died, Kabuto awoke for izanami and no longer wished to absorb Sasuke, who then decided to allow kabuto to live. Sasuke is still on a mission to destroy Konoha and is currently in hiding, and gaining all the followers he can, Naruto is still determined to bring Sasuke back.
Kakashi survived the war, when tobi took an oppurtunity to kill him Gai released the 8 gates and saved him, dying whilst doing so. Tsunade survived and is still the Hokage, I think that's pretty much everything, let me know how you like it.
The sun is setting, and an young blonde man is sitting on top of the Hokage Monument, on the Carving of the Fourth Hokage, looking over the village with concern, when a young woman appears behind him.
Sakura: Naruto, I've been looking all over for you, Lady Tsunade wants to see you in her office Immediately.
Naruto: Yeah I'll be there soon, I just-
Sakura: Naruto I said Now! *She says whilst punching him on the head*
Naruto: OWWW!! Okay I'm coming, just don't hit me!
The two arrive at the Hokages Office and Sakura knocks
Tsunade: Come in.
The two enter the spacious room and see their leader sitting at a desk covered with papers, drinking a bottle of sake, and Tsunades assistant Shizune standing by her side holding her pet Pig Tonton
Sakura: I brought Naruto as you asked Lady Tsunade, do you want me to leave?
Tsunade: Thank you Sakura, but there's no point in you leaving, He's just going to tell you what I say later anyway. Hello Naruto, are you well?
Naruto:Yeah I'm pretty good I guess, except for the rough treatment from your Hired Muscle *he says, making a cheeky smile at Sakura, who shoots a threatening look his way* So what's so important then Granny Tsunade?
Tsunade: Well as you know Naruto, people have been calling your name for Hokage ever since Pains attack on the village, yet you were never recommended for the Job as you're maturity has been questionable, yet over the past year I've seen you grow from a powerful kid into a powerful man, and I believe you are ready to lead this village, of course this isn't official yet, there will be a ceremony and-
Naruto: No.
Shizune, Tsunade Sakura and even Tonton exchange puzzled and shocked looks
Tsunade: Excuse me?
Naruto: I've wanted to be Hokage ever since I can remember, but I don't want that title unless I feel I'm truly ready, and that I'm good enough for Konoha-
Sakura: Naruto is this about Sasuke? Because if it is, forget about hi-
Naruto: Don't finish that sentence Sakura! How can I be the Hokage if I can't even Keep a promise to my friend, or If I can't save My best friend from himself, that's the end of this conversation, so Unless you have anything else to say, that isn't about me becoming Hokage, I'm going home.
Tsunade: The village needs you Naruto!
Naruto: The village has me, I'm not going anywhere.
Tsunade: I have a Mission for you Naruto, as you know, The five Kage's have decided to meet annually in order to share any information and prevent anything like the Akatsuki happening again, I need you, Shizune and Kakashi to accompany me, Since Sasuke Attacked the summit during our last Kage meeting the number of guards per Kage has been raised from 2 to 3, do you accept this mission?
Naruto: Of course Granny.
Tsunade: I have to warn you, there is a High chance that Sasuke will become a hot topic, and a lot of bad things will be said about him, can I trust you to bite your tongue, you won't be allowed to speak as you're not the Hokage.
Naruto: I'll do my best.
Tsunade: Good, well go get a good nights sleep, we have a long journey tomorrow.
