I know what it was, it was a power up. Hashi knew this was gonna happen. Hashi knew that Naruto was gonna whoop that ass and Hashi felt sorry for Sauce so he gave him some type of power to even things out a bit.

Nonetheless, that ass belongs to Naruto now!
