That's exactly what I am saying. I got "better range" from the fact that he said "I made it here thanks to that" which implies he was referring to the flak jacket. The poster takL from NF said pretty much the same thing.(about "swapping" improving his range)

So you are assuming it improves his range ? We still don't know whether or not the "other abilities" include telportations or if he is talking about new powers at all (he might be referring to yin lightning blade or susanoo).
This just seems like a theory for now.

Honestly though I don't get it, why swap if you don't need to?

I've said this a thousand times. Sasuke can teleport without swapping, he only swap with objects to get greater distance out of his jutsu.
