Being able to warp places with air molecules, means he can virtually teleport anywhere within reach (expect when fighting in outer space lol), that would mean that he can freely teleport (within a certain range) + has the ability to forcefully warp other people and things.

That's exactly what I am saying. I got "better range" from the fact that he said "I made it here thanks to that" which implies he was referring to the flak jacket. The poster takL from NF said pretty much the same thing.(about "swapping" improving his range)

i feel he's switching out with air, but if what ur saying is true, maybe swapping takes lesser chakra than teleporting randomly, although im certain that it was the air
