First he only want to destroy Konoha but after he knew the right thing he change his focus to world politic/problem(Bijuu and Governments). Village was not the problem but who lead the village was the problem for Sasuke.

We don't know how Naruto and Sasukes current system of doing things managed to find peace.

Im my opinion the current kages respect Narutos ambition enough after he helped save them in the war. However if that's the case, don't you think the world will eventually turn back into turmoil after he and Sasuke meet their maker?


Eventually people will start fighting again it's basic human nature. Especially since the world is progressing into a more modern age more wars will be fought over resources and politics just like today.


So the current peace is most likely only temporary like Sasuke once said it would be.

Grudges, greed, corruption, etc. Essentially, Sasuke believed (perhaps rightfully) that there will always be people like Danzou, or Madara. His answer was to use his power to control everything from the shadows, preventing ANYONE from rising up or creating such wars. He, himself, would personally oversee everything and act as a judge, jury, and executioner. He'd do what Itachi did for Konoha, but for the entire world.

Are there problems with this plan? Sure, just like there are problems with simply placing faith in people one day learning to "truly understand one another" or leaving things to the "next generation" to resolve. All of these high-minded ideals are dumbed-down to fit a Shounen manga, whose chief themes are things like friendship and perseverance. Still, Sasuke's plan made more sense than Pain's, or Obito's.

@Neosmith: Sasuke could have undone the IT with the Bijuu he'd enslaved, just as Naruto would have undone the IT by transplanting Sasuke's Rinnegan into someone. The real question is how Naruto would have undone the IT if Sasuke had actually died in any of their giant chakra blasts. Imagine if he lost his Rinnegan!

If sasuke died then naruto would giv kakashi his rinnegan, then proceed to undo IT.
If he lost his rinnegan then naruto would use his jesus hand to restore the rinnegan from his corpse then giv kakashi.
