I just want to say, I feel like I'm not alone when I say people are just ticked at Sasuke as a person in the manga.
(these are guesses) I feel like he's been saved/endowed so many flacking times I am starting to think he may be the flicking messiah.

But aside from that, many dislike his desire for revenge.
Here's where I come in. To be honest, I understand his desire for revenge. I mean, when someone pours cold water on me in the shower, or eats MY last oreo, I sit and plot against them for a bit. Imagining my brother killing everyone I love, or my own city filled with people I love ruining my brother's life would drive me berserk. Just saying - I see what he's doing. And evil is the path to it. Kudos Sasuke, for acting on your rage and making people suffer.
Forgiving and forgetting gets you so far. And hey, Sasuke kinda has it made right now :D

yea, i agree with u. i mean, i would probably feel the same way if a family member did that 2 me. i bet everyone would
My only different act would be to eternally torture that person, rather than kill em instantly. Blegh. If I died without knowing it, I kinda lose nothing.

Watch "Law Abiding Citizen"
Now THAT'S how you exact revenge. Do they have DVD's in the narutoverse?

Yeah i agree i would want revenge if my clan/ family and friends were all slaughtered even if it was another family member who did it so i understand why he is so bent on revenge but sasuke wanting the to kill all people in konoha is taking things to far wanting to kill the elders is responsible but the innocent people who had nothing do with the situation is another story i would only target those responsible

somehow i believe Kishi's message did not get through to you guys....
there is already too much hate in this world.....
and it is this hate that causes the world to plunge into chaos and makes everyone suffer....
we kill someone and the other wants revenge and afterwards those who were killed coz of revenge will want revenge as well.....
you guys need to learn how to let things go....
by the way, there is a difference between justice and revenge. just in case someone puts that on the table...

I understand Sasuke to a point. Yes get wicked, yes go after any one that stands in your way but don't turn on the people that will stand with you. ex: stabling Karen. At least attempt to kill Danzo with out killing her and if she dies any way will so be it that’s fate. Some one who betrays not just friends but loyal friends is just scum. If he talked it out with Naruto I bet Naruto would back him on killing the elders and Danzo. Very reluctantly but in the end would have backed him as well as Sakura. When he first left the leaf it made all the since in the world to become stronger but now he is just being retarded.

I get kishi's messge trust me i do an example is when shikamaru says if you kill someone with a curse you will be killed in return or something along those lines and another example "We are but men, drawn to act in the name of revenge we deem to be justice. But when we call our vengeance justice, it only breeds more revenge... forging the first link in the chains of hatred." It's so true and you can't tell me would just let it go if this happened to you and the person or people responsible were never punished which is how sasuke is feeling which i agree with sometimes vengeance is necessary

Exactly. Message are nice in cartoon worlds. But I'm just being honest. If someone led to the death of my sibling, I will without a doubt hunt them, and if possible (depending on the way they died) torture them.

Am I a bad person? =(
Meh, don't really care.

I fully agree not sure about how i would take the ones responsible out but i would do what needed to be done is they were never held accountable call me evil or childish and not able to understand messages portrayed in the manga or tv series i don't care either

which is why i said there is a difference between justice and revenge.
you kill a person for revenge because he was killed your loved ones.
yes he has wronged you but what did his loved ones do to you that you kill him for revenge but forces someone else to seek revenge against you.
but with justice, there would be some form of consensus which doles out the punishment fitting for whichever crime.
it is more acceptable and less violent.
and if a person you love dies, you really think that person would want you to spend the rest of your life hating others and plotting how to kill others?

Sasuke's problem is that he had no real goals in his life but, revenge and it's the same even now. he is unable to see that madara , whom he is followiing right now , is the person who set his clan up for destruction in the first place.

Do you think Madara will look out for Sasuke's well being ? he wanted a tool and manipulat Sasuke in doing exactly what he wanted him to do. Madara couldn't take a single kage alone( twice beaten by two hokages) and he sent Sasuke to attck the summit- 5 kages at once! he Knew Sasuke would be pwned and would need help and would opt for EMS once he realises that he was weak.

Sasuke going blind with his rage is a symbolism of his downfall from grace. Itachi's gift and Naruto will be his light and his redemption.

Well, he is unaware of many of these things. And ignorance is 100% bliss in many cases.
Once someone I love dies or suffers, I will not empathize.. As I said, I think I may go berserk. Since I admit to wanting to return the favor with killing, I understand that there will be consequences. hopefully my plotting takes that into account :p

I'd also like to add a comment about the loved one who died.
They won't feel anything about my rampage - They're dead.
Even if they told me to not go on a rampage in the off chance that they die, I will act upon my rage. They have no more consciousness

Yeah i see what you mean but some times the system fails those who want or deserve justice and getting revenge makes you no better then the person who killed your loved ones which is part of what kishi is trying to portray/ imply and i agree but im not sure i could still let it go even though it's wrong and yes your right about your family not wanting that sort of life and hatred to burden you but even so i don't think i would be able to let it slide that's just the type of person i am i guess and as the quote i used in a previous post
talking about a chain of hatred it does apply and others are hurt innocent that is inevitable but i think i could live with it but who knows im not in that situation nor do i know anyone who has been so i can't be sure how i would handle the situation as saying and doing something are two different things

Itachi and then Madara himself told him that he helped out in massacaring his clan. Itachi told him that Kyuubi attack was done by Madara. Sasuke knows that first Hokage beat Madara ( whole village knows it and he knows the Fourth again foiled the kyuubi attack by Madara 16 years ago).

Sasuke is aware of raw facts. He is unable to analyze and see it through because of his hate and rage. A good shinobi needs to keep his calm and he is loosing himself completely. He is unable to see through Itachi's sacrifices and pay him proper tribute. INstead he follows Madara who manipulated Iatchi as much as he could.

Sasuke is supposed to be a genious and cool- he lost these things a long time ago. He is acting highly selfish , self centered, revenage oriented true heir of madara Uchiha. Itachi was the only Uchiha who showed true will of fire.

To Be honest, Everyone has their own opinion on what "Justice" is. That's why there will never be any true justice. To sasuke, his revenge is the same thing as justice whereas someone like naruto doesn't see it that way. It's all a matter of opinion.
