But not everyone of the clan was involved in the plan to take over, so only a couple of Uchihas were 'enemy of the state'. The Uchiha clan massacre is not completely black and white. You're telling me that a whole clan had to be murdered because a couple of them wanted to take over the village? That's no justified action, no matter how you look at it, the council killed innocent people, even children.
U think three or four can take over an entire village? Most of the clan was involved but itachi cld have spared the children if there were any and also i m not comfortable with old ppl being killed.
Of course there would have been more than four people involved in the plan, but I seriously doubt the whole clan knew about that take over. I mean not all Uchihas were shinobis, there were just regular people living there too. Did they deserve to die for what a group was planning? Even small children were killed, so in my opinion the council deserves to get punished for it.

I'm not saying that the whole village deserves to die, most of them are innocent too after all and didn't have anything to do with the massacre. However, I do understand why Sasuke wants to kill the whole village. An eye for an eye, or in this case: a group of innocent lives for a group of innocent lives. That's just how Sasuke sees it.
Hidan needed to kill Asuma because he's standing in his mission where he needs to capture a jinchuriki which was ordered by Tobi. Tobi = "looking after greater public interest" by gathering all jinchuriki's and getting the TB and forming the ten tails which allows him to be the jinchuriki of the ten tails then he can put the world into a tsukiyomi which everyone is in peace which is his way of looking after the greater public interest.
