It's pretty obvious from the panels as well as Sasuke's words that he has the intent to kill Naruto. We have the panel where Naruto's face gets cut off from team 7 picture which pretty much confirms it for me.
However, I don't think that's all there is to it. I believe that his intentions have to change eventually for a few reasons.
1) Naruto's chase can't be for nothing - Sasuke can play cool as much as he wants, but we all know that each of his encounters with Naruto in the past ended up with him upset/moved; he's not as indifferent towards him as he pretends to be. At some point, Naruto's lectures will have to make a difference. He will remember them.
2) Itachi's words can't be for nothing - he is the center of Sasuke's world and the trigger for his every action; if Itachi put an emphasis on protecting Konoha and the importance of one's comrades, Sasuke should be bound to go the same path. He's already decided that he'd protect the village, the only thing left for him to do is to acknowledge the bond between him and Naruto and stop making up reasons to wipe him out.
3) He can't possibly hope to become Hokage if he turns on Naruto - there's no need to elaborate on this, I think.
4) Sasuke wants to clean the Uchiha's name right; so how is turning on Naruto going to help that?
5) The cycle of hatred needs to stop - everything is going to be pointless if one ends up killing the other.
6) Also, remember Kurama's words to Sasuke from earlier on? "If you kill Naruto, you'll end up regretting it."
