Hmm... Depends on what your definition of "evil" is. In the world's view Sasuke is evil, but Sasuke just wants to get revenge on the Leaf village. IMO, He's in the middle of good and evil. That will change if he crosses paths with Itachi, which I don't think will happen. If he doesn't meet Itachi then it'll change during his fight with Naruto.

What exactly does "evil" mean?

Was Nagato evil? Was Madara evil? Sasori? Kakuzu? Orochimaru?



Bad characters are usually perceived as "bad" because they are against the story's protagonists.
-Nagato wanted justice for the loss of people close to him.
-Madara wanted recognition and saw Hashirama as his rival.
-Sasori lost his parents and eventually left the village turning himself into a puppet some time after that.
-Kakuzu was shunned from his own village because he failed his mission to assassinate Hashirama.
-Orochimaru became obsessed with immortality after the death of his parents. Etc.

The "bad guys" usually have some reason for why they are the way they are. Their motive so to speak.

The same can be said for Sasuke. He's enraged that the village manipulated his brother and enjoyed peace at his expense. He wants revenge on Konoha and, at this point, is willing to kill anyone and everyone who gets in his way.

Is he a criminal according to the 5 Nations? Yes
Is he technically "evil"? I wouldn't say so





So far the only truly evil character we've seen is Tobi. He's the only one who doesn't seem to be driven with some sort of revenge or emotional issue.

I agree with you. Sasuke is not evil. He is driven by revenge which resulted in hating everything Konah. In the end Naruto will make him come around.

Well sasuke was always good in my eyes till the samuri incedent. i mean in the amine he defeated a whole amy without killing one of them. freed oros captive e.t.c i mean those sameri was so out match they werent up to 50 and only used sword chakra enhanced techniques, they have no ninjutsu, a full body chidori could have taken them out without killing them. This is when i think sasuke got evil i had no problen of him killing those old advicer. Just felt it would be a good read . But wasting a whole village because of itachi plan to prevent a war is pefectly evil even madara didnt weate out konoha when he had the power. Every one thinks he will turn good but i believe he is acting of his free will.
