Naruto body was at his limit when he draw out nine tails chakra when he vs Gaara, while all Gaara did is wake up and control the sand - not to mentioned he has not sleep for a very long time and that sleep can replenish him more than ever. Here Nejji blocking out Naruto chakra point that is why Naruto can not stand up properly until nine tails chakra unblock those point and Naruto body is just back to healthy stage.

Naruto own word didn't imply anything since his training with Jiriaya even BEFORE when fought with Haku or Orochimaru and the fact remains is that Naruto healed his internal damage and restore his closed point which Neji strucked and Naruto was coughing Blood so you don't see how badly his injuries was But you assumed Naruto used more on Final valley because of his EXTERNAL injury looks serious .
It wasn't much obvious because Kidomaru attacks are transonic speed, and Neji can react to that CM2 speed with his sensory Byakugan.

That makes perfect sense. CE naruto was not faster than gaara's sand yet fast enough to stop neji, CE sasuke is equal to base lee speed, while VOTE1 sasuke never bothered to use base lee speed against naruto except when using curse mark.
