I've been doing a lot of thinking again lately about what the Hokages could possibly say to Sasuke that would make him change, and while I couldn't think of HOW they'll change him, I know WHY he'll change.

(1) Sasuke is smack dab in the middle of Konoha. Unless they want to show Sasuke destroying and killing everyone in a village without ANY interference from a hero, they'll have him change his mind.

(2) Wouldn't Konoha being destroyed a SECOND time be a tad redundant? I mean they just got things built up again.

(3) The seeds are being set for Sasuke to rebel against Obito and perhaps Madara, since Obito lied to him, and I wouldn't think that would sit well with Sasuke.

(4) Sasuke (and even Orochimaru!) almost have a sense of nostalgia with being back in Konoha, I doubt they would show this side of Sasuke without changing him in the future.

(5) Sasuke will however REMAIN a villain. Naruto might be forced to combat Sasuke since other nations want him captured or killed.

Nice analysis, man. You've convinced me, which is a feat because I'm stubborn.
Sasuke will become an anti-hero, which is a few steps below a villian. No way his mind will remain the same after talking to the Hokages.

Yes, it would be redundant to destroy the village a second time. But keep in mind that also proves that Kishimoto isn't afraid of actually pulling something like that off.

And no, Sasuke won't remain a villain. Sure, for a while, but he won't be a villain/anti-hero when the manga ends. A huge part of the Shippuden story would be obsolete if he didn't join the good guys at the end. All those monologues about bonds and friendship would have been for nothing.

I honestly sensed a huge change of pace in Sasuke ever since Itachi showed him the truth. We will have to wait for his resolve after he hears from the kage's...

I gotta say I agree with that last part there....and wether or not Sasuke/Naruto is alive at the end is still a mystery, obviously right. But kishi could go either way with this. There are at least 3 options, 1. They fight together in battle against Obito and Madara and one of them dies. 2. They fight each other and one of them dies. 3. They fight together defeating Obito and Madara and have a final spar seeing who the victor is.....

Nice but Sasuke was already planning to rebel against Obito.

Agree completely, plus i still feel like Hashirama and the Kages (Assuming they break free) would slaughter him if he chose to destroy Konoha
