Orochimaru had no goddamn clue, he'd never even seen it. Sasuke did it on his own. Btw, thats not why I think he'll acheive PS you generalising moron. He's already on Naruto's level with his EMS Susanoo which can wield Amaterasu in 3 different forms. PS for him is inevitable. It is a type of chakra manipulation, and Sasuke of all people will be able to do it.
