Yeah,before. But now he wants it. Plus he's parents gave him the nine tails. Talk about Naruto getting an op gift.Point is every character was "handed" something.

Btw Oro forced sasuke by giving him the curse mark. He didn't want it at first.. Well second time. But Itachi pushed him to what he is now. If itachi told sasuke the truth then who knows what the outcome will be.

2. Itachi created this monster. So thats kinda a fail on his part too. Not just Sasukes. Sasuke grew up as a child, the way Itachi made him, So Itachi plays a big role in this too.

3.His own freinds resorted to kill him, because he's consumed with hatred, which was driven by Itachi, and the loss of his family what u expected him 2 do.

4. Orochimaru didn't necesarily manipulate him, Sasuke was basically using Orochimaru for power and ended up killing him. (cuz he was sick).

5. Well his greatest technique is his Ms techniques right now, and they dont require lots of time. Kirin I recall takes time.

6. Im not gonna say he was "Lucky". Orochimaru lucky he didn't kill Sasuke, otherwise Itachi probably would've murdered him. Like he should've did.

7. He wasent lucky Itachi was sick, since Itachi planned on losing.

8. Well true, he couldn't yet....

10. Atleast he survived, and held his own a little. He did what most people wouldn't do. But Raikage was too much for him at the time.

1.Katon: Great Fireball Jutsu
2.Katon: Dragon Flame jutsu
3.Katon: Pheniox Flower Jutsu
4. Chidori
5. Chidori Blade and Chidori Nagashi, and Chidori darts
6. And "Kirin".
And mastered the curse seal V2, which is similiar to Naruto taming the fox.
I Agree he got the Mangkeyou handed to him. It's not like he asked for it though.

Sauske isn't weak, but only because his best jutsus are so similar to his teachers.

Kakashi taught him the chidori and now Sauske has only tweaked it. Which is fine, every character does that. Naruto uses a technique that has been handed down. Naruto has made it his own though. I feel that Sauske barely did that. To me he shaped it into a sword or lightsaber, if you will. He does have other forms of chidori, but rarely uses it in my opinion.

He know has Itachi's eyes, in which Itachi had to go through the pain and experience to get. Sauske just skipped all of that and, in my eyes, is not yet ready or worthy for the precious eyes. Due to Itachi's pain, sauske is able to unlock the rennegan.

Orochimaru was a great part of his strength, until Itachi destroyed the last remaining bits of his being within him. He is out of the picture, but was a great contributor.

These are some of the main points I see, there are others. I wouldn't say they were handed to him on a silver platter, but he has been influenced by other characters in big ways. I believe these three greatly shaped Sauske into what he is now.
