Sasuke was an Awful Brother

He really was utterly selfish. Also shows how great of a brother Itachi was in contrast.

For the sake of the village, Itachi lived the life of a devilish traitor. A clan-murdering demon. Vilified by the Leaf, his home. And he was okay with that because the alternative would bring destruction to his home. He truly loved Konohagakure more than anything else.
Except his baby brother. He was willing to kill his parents for his village, but he could not bring himself to kill Sasuke Uchiha. And so, Sasuke grew up hating, despising Itachi. And so when Sasuke "defeated" Itachi, and Tobi comes to reveal the truth about Itachi. And Sasuke eventually believes him. Sasuke realizes how much Itachi loved the village, and yet,

He venerated Itachi. He was saying "you're perfect" while shitting all over Itachi's wishes.

I get that Sasuke was hurt and confused and whatnot, but damn. That's why MS Sasuke is such an annoying character to me.

Trauma can affect people badly and change them for the worst. Sasuke was a sweetheart as a little boy and probably would have been like Itachi as he grew up, if not for the massacre and Itachi intent on making Sasuke hate him. Not to mention all the mind games he endured. He was a walking mental time bomb.

Wow it's entirely the other way around. Itachi was the selfish one trying to force his love of Konoha against Sasuke. Sasuke isn't Itachi. He didn't care about Konoha or Itachi wishes. It's how Sasuke explained it one of these chapters. It went something like "Go back to Konoha and protect it?" Those are only pretty words etc etc. Sasuke fought his whole life for vengence. It's not something as easy to decide I'll protect the village who destroyed my entire family.

Pain is subjectiv. That means something like sasukes childhood could have crushed another persons mind to that point that he commited suicide. On the other hand there are persons who have endured much worse. U cant just simply say u could list others with worse childhood...so what? That doesnt have anything to do with the fact that he HAD indeed a terrible childhood which left him scard for the rest of his life...
