Well, i'm not surprised that most people voted Sasuke. Gaara has the biju's powers, just less chakra. That's an ace, for shure, but still--Sasuke has many more. I'm not ashamed that i voted for Gaara in any way, because I think Gaara is a tank. Sasuke is powerful, no doubt--I just don't like the means that he got most of his more powerful abilities. True, the biju gave Gaara his current powers, but that really wasn't his choice. He was born with it. Manny of the things that Sasuke has other people gave to him, or (in Orochimaru's case) he sucked them out. Coming to Orochimaru for jutsu and training isn't me calling him week, cowardly, or a leech. It's when he went to Orochimaru when he was bedridden, sick, and incapable of fighting when Sasuke attacked him--HE DIDN"T EVEN FIGHT FOR THEM. Not to mention the curse mark, Mangekyo, Susano'o, Itachi's eyes, and those unstopable black flames (can't remember the name) were given to him. Learning things like chidori, shaping it into a blade, and the high level fire/lightning jutsu's were BEAST, and he trained himself for those. But he spammed the Mangekyo for hours after his eyes started bleeding and getting blurry. WHAT IDIOT OR FOOL WOULD DO THAT!? I mean, Itachi had them for years, and his eyesight depleted a little under ten percent. Sasuke? He went blind after just a few days!
Now, my vote was a matter of character and where either of the two stand. Not just because of power. I don't dislike Sasuke because of his power; just his means of obtaining it, his character/views, and how foolish he acts with techniques that screw his body over.

I don't think Karura can break a genjutsu, cause she is dead and the sand is just a manifestation of her love. an intelligent person would say that this battle would be a very difficult one to predict and a great one to watch. but to say Gaara would win for sure or Sasuke would beat him EASILY(???) is just stupid. as for the genjutsu, you know people can actually defend against them and being that we have never seen Gaara train or being put under one, you don't know how good he is at that. or we could just say"hey anyone who goes against Sasuke is gonna lose in the end cause he has tsukuyomi! WOW *__*"
I like both of them, but being that Sasuke is a douche I would prefer Gaara to win. not say it would happen, but for all those who think he would easily lose against Sasuke MS, you are the delusional once and probably the real fanboys here.
one more thing..the Gaara vs. Deidara...seriously? no I mean seriously? I could bet 1.000000 Euro that I actually don't have that if they weren't fighting over Sunagakure Deidara couldn't pull that off. also in the databook Kishi sad that Gaara wasn't trying to kill Deidara but to capture him, which I didn't know. it doesn't matter anymore but Gaara is worthy of being Kazekage especially now. so if someone think Gaara would be the winner, that's just their opinion and you should respect that. I haven't seen any of the Gaara fans saying Sasuke is weak, but a lot of you Sasuke freaks are seriously losing it by calling Gaara weak...you are too funny lol!xD

I can see most people still have little likeness for gaara forgetting that he uses next to nothing chakra when in battle, she should not get a hold of sasuke or he's gonna desert coffin his evil ass up.

Let alone ms, sasuke got his ms after itachi's death the amaterasu, tsukuyomi and susanoo are his not itachi's sasuke awakened his own ms, i know its bcuz of itachi's death but it would have been useless if sasuke lacked the potential to awaken it, stop sayin he got it for free its like me sayin naruto got kyuubi for free which is not true bcuz minato paid the price with his life, so u see? Sasuke paid the price with his beloved bro.(afterall he awakened it after he learnt the truth of itachi). Gaara is strong but sasuke is stronger and since he is a main character by plot no jutsu is meant to surpass gaara and he has surpassed him its a clear fact. I'm not against u sayin gaara will win afterall its what u fink and its not going to make it true but to say sasuke was given ms for free its stupid Bcuz gaara got his powers for free even if its not his choice to get shukaku bcuz u can't blame sasuke for having the potential to awaken ms.

Sasuke And Naruto are on whole new levels right now neither one of them is gonna loose to anyone besides each other or maybe Madara but no side character like Gaara is gonna do much, He could put up a hell of a fight but i don't see him pulling off a win, maybe if he had Kankuro and Temari with him still slim though

you need a strong jutsu capable of piercing to get through the sand. sasuke's chidori has been shown to be enough; the susano'o bow is certainly enough.

kirin could easily break through that sheild, when gaara used it he was against deidera who uses explosions not lightning, lightning is strong against the sand, unlike explosions which is mainly fire. Also sasuke wouldn't be aiming the amaterasu at the sand but at gaara, and lets face it his taijutsu isn't that great. also where is the proof that gaara's mother can wake him from tsukyomi, she isn't living inside him like a tailed beast, its her "love" keeping the sand protecting him. and not to mention how do you expect him to turn the battlefield into a desert. What is sasuke just going to stand there during this. Not to mention sasuke can cover his body in chidori or amaterasu, and if he covered it in chidori the sand wouldn't affect him nearly as much. Deidera beat gaara in the desert, yes he attacked the people but still sasuke killed deidera without even having MS, gaara wouldn't stand a chance.
did you guys saw the fight gaara had with sasuke in the kages summit?
gaara blocked amaterasu rather easily and when he saved raikage from amaterasu when he was almost kicking susano'o gaara blocked a fcking raiton armor kick.
i still believe gaara would win even if sasuke used the susano'os arrow cuz he could put a massive wall of sand to protect himself and guys are saying ''damn fanboyism disease'' these guys are the fanboys cuz if u see my avatar my favorite character is kakashi and my 2nd is itachi so I'm not a fcking fanboy!

oh and one more thing: it's funny how people keep thinking that since the beginning of shippuden the only characters who got stronger and got new powers are Naruto and Sasuke. just because we haven't seen Gaara for more than 200 chapters doesn't mean he didn't grew much much stronger
at that time gaara was weaker, sasuke too(no MS) and Naruto couldn't do the rasenshuriken, sage mode or anything. and maybe Gaara doesn't have Oro to train him or the greatest brother in the world to give him his eyes, doesn't mean he didn't train and maybe he is 10 times stronger than when he fought Dei! I mean guys wait a little, we just saw him fight for the first time after so so long and you jump to conclusion that Sasuke is stonger...oh well we all have our opinions. Sasuke is still a strong,crazy criminal and Gaara is the Commander General of the army...hmm maybe we can give him a chance before we judge him ok?

are you stupid kakashi barely saw the arrow coming at him and u think his sand can stop it or u probably think the sand can percieve things faster than the sharingan hes just being overhyped cuz hes kazekage lemme tell sasuke is at kage level hes even beaten two kage level ninja danzo and orochimaru though ill admit orochimaru was really weak at the time. you cant say shit bout gaaras ability cuz the most action weve seen is from part 1. his only fight ended with his ass gettin kicked despite all the damn sand in the village being there and dont give me no crap about his mom making him stronger when she had always loved him so stfu u stup fanboy and plus the amaterasu that didnt connect came from an overused ms u really think that would work if he was 190 percent cuz gaara wud be burned alive
