I agree to some extent. But if Gaara evolves his techs, then Sasuke will have a big problem on his hands.

This is a tough one. If in the desert like when we fought madara, then i give it to gaara, because he showed that susanoo and its user can be separated, and he has the geographical advantage. But if not in desert, i lean towards sasuke just because of his sheer hitting power of susanoo and gaaras lack of gratuitous amounts of sand.

You're the only one who is underrating here saying he would beat Gaara using genjutsu or any of sasuke skills when obviously that's not true.

What Gaara did when he threw Madara out Susano is what he did when he caught Kimimaro's feets and there wasn't a dessert.

I think Gaara would win this until Sasuke shows what his eternal mangekyo sharingan is capable to do.

The one thing I'm unsure of is how Gaara would deal with Sasuke's genjutsu's though. Anyone have any ideas on how Gaara would get past that?

But that's only assuming Sasuke has the time to set up for it. Gaara's been shown to be able to attack and defense simultaneously. Sasuke's going to have his hands full the entire fight
