Well canonically Lee negged Sasuke (hard to admit but it's the truth ;( ) and everybody already knows that Neji> Base Lee (the one who negged Sasuke, who at the moment was more powerful than Naruto)
So yeah there's that, then again since the Sasuke in OP can use CM, it's a stomp because Sasuke would have 3T which was able to keep up with 1 tailed Naruto, and it was initial cloak Naruto that defeated Neji with a single uppercut

If this is a fight , then sasuke wont instantly activate CM which would giv neji a clear advantage not to mention the fact that he has intel an can shut down CM2 with a single hit.

If sasuke instantly starts his CM2 from the start which he wont , then neji can surely still keep up due to how much he advanced in that arc , proven by his databook stats and feats.
A rotation vs chidori clash would end in neji's victory due to the fact that it knocks chakra away along with seein it knock away the juubi's tail.

So all in all due to intel nd their specific powers and personality , neji wins from low to ext high diff depending on the timin of his activation of CM.

Sasuke was cooler and Neji was stronger than Sasuke up to a point but I think he can beat Sasuke. Neji was still standing after fighting initial Cloak mode Naruto. Sasuke fought a stronger Initial cloak mode Naruto but Neji did get stronger himself so we can put Neji on that level which isn't too far power wise from CM lvl 2. Sasuke was in a coma for about 4-6 weeks I think but Orochimaru pill did increase Sasuke's base stats as it gave him CM lvl 2 so that made up for Sasuke being out of commission as Neji and others trained.

Sasuke used Lee style taijutsu which Neji knows about and have beaten. Neji showed that he can fight opponents faster than he is with his Byakugan by fighting Naruto in his Initial cloak mode. Kakashi himself even said he thinks Sasuke is no match for Neji when he saw Neji fight Hinata

Yes I know this is before the month training and is both are stronger by the end of the manga but I think it's important to look at the gap in strength they had at that point then we see them both get stronger in a month time; Neji could take on Naruto's base and his Initial Kyuubi mode but lost because Naruto unique strategy but it should be noted that Neji wasn't fighting in a death battle and if he was he wouldn't have deactivated his Byakugan at the end. Naruto in base was about to beat Sasuke in the rooftop about a month (or a week or so over a month). In the time Sasuke was in coma, Neji and Naruto were training (using Naruto as a way to try to compare the other two with each other) with Neji improving his skills with gentle fist, chakra control, and learning more Hyuuga clan jutsus and Naruto trained in chakra control and learned Rasengan.

After Sasuke got his stats increased from Orochimaru pill, his base was stronger than Naruto's base and had to go initial cloak mode to get the edge in the fight but Sasuke went CM lvl 1 to get the edge and it went that way until they were at their strongest. Sasuke doesn't just got full power in part 1, he levels up when he needs it so Neji can get it blows with gentle fist or setup the 64 palm which can kill Sasuke.

Depends on which sasuke, CM sasuke obviously beatsdown neji but if this is first party cunnin exams sasuke then neji wins, if this is sasuke after training under kakashi, sauce doesn't even CM, he beats neji with sharnningan and speed alone. Fast enough to elude gaara's sand, neji would get a surprise strike from chidori.

Cooler? hav to go with neji due to the smooth nature of his fightin style , which is wat got me into the series in the first place.

In a fight , u would hav to consider that sasuke would hav "zero" intel on neji while neji knew pretty much everything about sasuke like his taijutsu style , CM activation and more due to his encounters with the sound nins.

Now if neji found sasuke at VOTE then logicaly neji would neg diff sasuke the moment cqc starts , or at least block a few chakra points early on preventing sasuke from usin his CM and chidori.

Sasuke would need to know from the start that cqc is not a wise move against this guy , which without intel he wont. His sharingan would never get a chance to mature to 3T and he would easily be brought back to konoha with all his tenketsu blocked.

Its actually the other way around. Neji is the one that saw sasuke's skills and fight-style in the chunin exams along with the activation nd power of the CM in the forest of death.

This is probably the only intel sasuke has in canon on neji , which is not much of anything realy

While neji has exp with CM and CM2 from the sound4 along with the fact that he saw sasuke while he was inside that box gettin his body ready for CM2..

Logically neji has much more intel than sasuke.
