I suppose. But he only obtained the rinnegan because of the Sage's chakra. Naruto on the other hand has senjutsu.
Sage's Body= Senjutsu
Sage's Eyes= Doujutsu
on top of that, Naruto has the bijuu. So power-wise I'd have to say Naruto has the advantage. If we're talking purely fighting skill, then maybe they are equal.

When was he "trashed" by Sasuke?
Madara was trying to get back his second rinnegan before Sakura destroyed it, giving Sasuke the opportunity for the attack. If he waited a second longer, Sakura would have succeeded.
Why he had to run for his eye?? Perhaps instead of getting a heart piercing and getting bisected, he would have gotten diced and roast with ama, so he got it easy, and madara certainly loved getting bisected. It would have been worse otherwise

Did you even read the manga?
Sakura was going to stab the Rinnegan. If she did, Madara's plans would have collapsed.
Also ninjutsu doesn't work on Juubi Jins. So amaterasu is useless against him.
According to manga, madara ran because he got overwhelmed, no need to make excuses for fictional characters
Why ama is useless?? The absorbing thingy?? Then naruto's rasengan shouldn't have worked too

So your telling me Madara should have just risked his eye being destroyed and continue to fight at half power?
Madara can grow back limbs, so why would he worry? None of Sasuke's justu work on him and he needs Naruto's help with sealing. So how exactly does he trash Madara?

Naruto wasn't really helping in the fight tbh, surgeon Sasuke bisected him then stabbed him and even stabbed him with sage chidori (which works by the way). All Naruto did that fight was get hit by limbo.
So in a sense, Madara didn't touch Sasuke and Sasuke pretty much under normal circumstances killed him twice

Yeah they can be equal in general. But feats and power and skill are not equal. Just other feats that equalize them lol
Madara already decided he would solo them both despite of not having his eye yet. You assuming madara been peeking at sakura through obito which was never stated in manga
If madara can grow back limbs and stuff, he shouldn't even needed to block an attack. No! Now you are thinking madara enjoy being punching bag. Madara would block and dodge if he can despite of being able to grow a head or a tail base on the manga

lol Black Zetsu was there with them and it was already shown Madara was able to telepathically communicate with him; so he knew that Sakura was about to destroy the eye.
Also yeah, if you've read the manga, Madara enjoys pain. He laughed even when his body was blown in half by Gai which pails in comparison to what Sasuke did. He didn't even use a susanoo to protect himself.

The whole "they are equal" thing made me dislike the anime a bit to be honest. Its just stupid and make things predictable and boring.
What i dont understand is:
if Ashura and Indra are equals, how can Hashirama be so much stronger than Madara?
SM Hashi wrecked Madara + Full Kurama while he wasn't even bloodlusted.

Naruto is slightly better than or equal to Sasuke simply because he is the main character. Kishi has stated numerous times that Sasuke and Naruto grow together and once one of them gets a power up he immediately thinks of one for the other. They are not equal in all aspects but all together they balance each other out. So whether Naruto has 9 bijuus or Sasuke has 2 tomoe Rinnegans it doesn't matter, they will forever be equal or naruto being slightly better, no matter what the fanbases may say.
