Both Sasuke & Naruto knew something was up about each other. Probably since Vote 1. Hence why Naruto said he couldn't do it without Kurama and Sasuke couldn't do it without Itachi's eyes

If MS Sasuke and SM Naruto were to fight they would have killed each other. Even at their strongest they tied and nearly killed each other.

Uhhhh...no. What is said is that when they fight they will kill each other, meaning when it comes time for them to fight they'd be on par or Naruto would be strong enough to force a simultaneous kill. Says nothing about SM Naruto or MS Sasuke specifically nor does this mean that any N/S fight ends in the death of both.

What is this saying is that after Naruto gains control of Kurama and Sasuke gains control of Itachi's eyes they will be on par and will die if they both fight each other. Can't both die if one has the clear advantage.

Lol. They'd eventually kill each other. Naruto was planning on gaining the kyuubi power and Sasuke would get EMS. Most of that doesn't tell us about their power levels at that time but we know.

This thread is more about why these two powers (Sage Mode and Mangekyou Sharingan) stalemate against each other. We already know the destiny of Naruto and Sasuke, but you can't use that to justify that point.

That's untrue. You can argue this as they may not be equal but they are on par with one another and are victims of fate and circumstances. You talk about Peak MS Sasuke. There's at least 2 or 3 distinct periods of MS Sasuke that differs in proficiency. You claim that his Peak (the one against Kakashi and Danzo i'm guessing) is enough to outright defeat Sage Mode Naruto which is untrue. Any edge they have is outweighed by each others' shortcomings.

Not to mention the circumstances Sasuke had to go through to attain this "Peak MS" of his cost him his vision to begin with. I'm not trying to argue who win or lose as I firmly believe that they still result in a tie but do not talk as if Peak MS Sasuke is one that is starting 100% with his vision fully intact.

You actually can given the fact that everything they've done up has led them to Vote 2. If Kishimoto capped the power scaling to MS and SM the same thing would have happened.

It doesn't even matter anymore. The manga ended years ago and with boruto taking over we won't ever see Naruto and Sasuke at the top of their game ever again.
It can be argued that we've never seen them at their best because of how rushed the final fight was.

A Mangekyō Sharingan Sasuke with the following:

- Full 100% Vision
- Full MS use as a result
- His peak Susanoo variant (which would be feat-less as he showed a full 4 seconds of. Not counting future chapters of course)
- Amaterasu control
