Amaterasu: The flames are capable of burning through most anything in their path, even smothering regular fire techniques with ease. Amaterasu is said to never stop burning; even when whatever is caught by the Amaterasu is completely reduced to ash or destroyed, it can still continue burning for seven days and seven nights.

The jet-black flames of the Amaterasu, said to be the fires from hell that are as hot as the sun, ignite at the focus of the user's vision.

Amaterasu is the highest level Fire Release technique, and according to Zetsu, the strongest ninjutsu of Itachi's eyes. It is said to represent the "Material World and Light" (物質界と光, Busshitsukai to Hikari), the antipode to Tsukuyomi, a genjutsu of similar power and a fellow Mangekyō Sharingan dōjutsu.

Let me ask you all a question......why do you think Sasuke is so damn weak compared to Naruto?

Because if you think Sasuke is weak, then you also think Amaterasu is weak.....right?


Because just as Sasuke tamed lighting and named it Kirin, and has several other ways to use it as well; with his Susanoo, Sasuke has completely tamed Amaterasu and has several ways to burn anything and everything!

What does the manga page with Kabuto say then? "greatest attack technique"! Kabuto is considered to be the strongest isn't he? I think he would know a thing or two about attacks!

If someone is fast enough he can dodge amaterasu like the raikage did but anyway its a great skill it will not turn off till the target is burned to ashes it is the Technique i fear most in the battle naruto vs sasuke

What's wrong bro are you mad? Amaterasu is the best technique is his arsenal. He can make variants of techniques, not only can he shoot it towards his opponents, but he can shield his entire Susanoo. He can make his arrow coated with Amaterasu. A spike barrier knows as Blaze Release: Kagutsuchi. Last, Blaze Magatama which is an orb that shoot several Amaterasu shots at an opponent.

He is just trying to basically say that Naruto is not that above Sasuke that's all. Besides if Sasuke can coat himself with Amaterasu makes me wonder what can Naruto do to get around it?

Sasuke uses Amaterasu through his Susanoo now! In three different ways, including the super fast arrow! His eyes aren't the only way he uses it now! Why can't people comprehend that?! I just don't get it...

He still needs to use his eyes for Susano'o. It's not like he can spam Amaterasu just because he is in Susano'o. The more he uses the shorter amount of time he can be in Susano'o mode.

I'm not a Sasuke fanboy, if anything, I'm a Naruto fanboy, I am just not biased. Don't hate.

Amaterasu is overrated. It has been countered by Raikage, Nagato, Gaara, Kankuro, Jiriaya, Kabuto, Tobi and Sasuke himself. Its supposed to burn for 7 day and 7 night yet it was not burning when Konoha made it to the battle site of Itachi vs. Sasuke. It was raining at the time so it obviously just went out.

Also its supposed to be as hot as the sun yet it took a considerable time to even burn through Karin's shirt, didn't make it through the samurai armor, did absolutely nothing to Gaara's sand or the toads stomach and wasn't even close to damaging the Raikage's gauntlet.

If you believe the hype it is a very strong jutsu, but there are many examples in the manga that disprove a lot of its hype. It couldn't even kill fodder samurai that had no role in the story at all.......

Let's not get into this again....last time you made yourself look pretty damn stupid. His eyes aren't casting the Amaterasu in his Susanoo, and his eyes do not bleed when he uses Amaterasu through his Susanoo. Get it through your head!

Naurto in his new bijuu mode was able to deflect 5 bijuu damas and resisted the bijuu bomb of the most feared creature in the narutoverse the Juubi he can dodge it anyway but in bijuu mode he can catch it with a tail and then deactivate the bijuu mode so the amaterasu wont work
im not saying it's weak but naruto pretty much has a dodge for it in every form
