This is going to make people mad, but helping Naruto beat Obito was the first time Sasuke did anything significant in this war arc that actually helped. His previous attacks against the Juubi and Obito failed and he has basically spent most of this war being TNJ by Itachi and Hashirama. The only other thing he did and succeeded at was helping Itachi stop Kabuto but that was redundant as most of the Edos had already been sealed, with the one that was the problem (Madara) remaining. Really this seemed like Kishi wanted to force a team up between Naruto and Sasuke despite the guy having pretty much nothing to do with the war until this point.

Oh, and it was Naruto who did most of the work (he coordinated and planned the attack, he provided the 9 tails chakra, and he provided the Senjutsu so they could hurt Obito, and he created the Rasengans that were used to smash the shield Obito created).
