No he didn't fool. Outside power does not count. Naruto worked hard for Kurama's power as he actually had to beat and befriend the Bijuu. Did sasuke have to fight Itachi's eye balls to get its power?

So fighting Kurama was harder, Naruto fought a Bijuu he deserves whatever power that comes from kurama.

Itachi was already sick and had planned the fight from the beginning, if he wanted he could've totally owned Sasuke even in that condition, but he wanted to die by Sasuke's hand give some peace to him. Sure Sasuke fought with him and gave it his all but it was still not enough to beat Itachi. Itachi cast amaterasu at Sasuke and at the last moment turned it off, he could've sealed Sasuke but again he wasn't going for that. So you please read the manga and get your facts right. And for your information it was Tobi who gave itachi's eyes to Sasuke. Sasuke was in no condition to retrieve itachi's eyes after the fight. So Sasuke was destined to get the EMS from the start but Naruto had to work hard to defeat and eventually befriend Kyuubi.
