His eyes are designed to counter visual genjutsu, this is an ability of both the sharingan and rinnegan.

It is not about the power of the genjutsu so much as it is the type of genjutsu.

Tsukuyomi was countered by 3T sasuke where as EMS sasuke couldn't counter tayuya's sound genjutsu.

Based on power tsukuyomi is more powerful but was countered easier due to sasuke's powers being tailored to countering genjutsu of that kind. Nothing so far shown(at least to my knowledge) suggests he has any more defense against sound genjutsu than he did before.

Sasukes' Rinnegan doesn't share the same limitations as Nagato who wasn't even the original wielder of the dojutsu. In fact, I doubt Sasuke has any cool down on his jutsu unless he needs to use more than 50% effort
