I am studying genetics too....Ok...first I laughed this off and took it more or less as a joke, but now it's really intriguing me. xd
LastMistBloodline (you are the one that pumped me up*laughs*), Hyuugas supposedly being the ancestor of the Uchihas has nothing to do with being dominant or not, but what's important here is the actual individuals, in this case Hinata and Sasuke, and which gene is stronger than the others. The whole lineage doesn't count(at least not 100% ).
You said that Uchihas interbreed in order to strengthen the gene, while Hyuugas taking outsiders will have quite the opposite effect(just like in the mangas when breeding a demon and a human, results a semi-demon; kinda like that)
I intended to base my answer on actual Genetics(I luved it in high school :3 ) , but this was rather futile, judging by the fact that red and white doesn't have an equivalent in this area (I wonder why
But seeing as black eyes, for example, are dominant over blue eyes (if NaruHina will happen, the kid will have her eyes color!Sad >.<), then my guess is that red (Sharingan) might be dominant over white (Byakugan). At least, from the viewpoint of the phenotype, this might be possible.
Btw... XD Did it crossed your mind, LastMistBloodline, that the eyes might look like Sharingans and have the Byakugans skill, or viceversa? xd

Well since you are merely assuming that sharingan represents red and Byakugan represents white, you are probably wrong.
Moreover since we don't know which allele is dominant there is a chance that co-domination will take place where both alleles are repesented in the phenotype resulting in a new phenotype. eg:- in a cross between a white and a red snapdragon(a plant) the offspring will have pink flowers that repesent alleles of both the white and red flowered snapdragons. So the mating between an Uchiha and a Hyuga may result in a new kekegenkai (doujutsu).

It would be interesting to c how their kids would turn out, like wat eyes would they have? I think the kid would not have a mixture of the 2 types of eyes but wud have either the sharingan or the byakugan, depending on genes. But it wud be awkward seein both of them together, nd I don't think their a good match. Hinata should be with naruto and sasuke should be with sakura.

Just because your mother has a small nose and your father has a large one doesn't mean you're going to have a medium sized nose.
Eye Genetics are hard to determine in the first place and are still not 100% figured out.. So depending on what sort of genetic system the Dojutsu works on and how EXACTLY Byakugan works. I found an article on this a while ago;

As stated in the article the Byakugan to see 360% [excluding the blind spot where the optic nerve would be] it would need to be almost 100% pupil, if this is so then actually having a Sharingan implemented into a pupil would also would be impossible.
Well Madara didn't mention Byakugan during his history lesson on the ancestry of the Uchiha bloodline so it's unclear at this moment. Kakashi's Byakugan comment at the chuunin exam should be taken with a grain of salt.

If a Uchiha and a Hyuga mated their child might combine both tech and if repeated mating pares did this their grandchildren could be born with Pain's eyes sines your going back to the original eyes of the SO6P
Even if I were to humor the thought of Hinata and Sasuke shacking up and producing a kid to show for it, that child would be one Hell of a depressingly blatant Mary-Sue/Gary-Stu. I mean, c'mon, BOTH the Sharingan AND Byakugan? Pfffffft. Ridiculous.
