The Sage himself just two or three chapters ago said that Kaguya's eye was a Sharingan. He stated that she used it to control people's minds, basically the Juubi's eye is the Sharingan.

Go back to the Sage's talk about his mother, the Doujutsu that casts infinite Tsukuyomi is a Sharingan, that's why its called Tskuyomi which is a Sharingan Jutsu.

Sasuke's eye is probably just a Rinnegan and Sharingan put into one, what the Ten Tails and Kaguya had was just a Sharingan, it had the rings because it was one eye rather than two.

Sasuke's eye will probably let him just use both the Rinnegan and Sharingan abilities at the same time.

I don't get why people want Sasuke to have something else so badly, the Rinnegan is the most powerful Doujutsu in the manga, its quite the step up.
