All the face palms in the world? He was 16 when he found out. Sasuke is now 17 and a few months old. It's been a little over a year. Why so upset over fiction?

No, its been a little over a year since Shippuden started. Sasuke only found out the truth 2 days ago in their time. Its fine though.

@bold- Not really. Naruto and company were still after him. After Itachi's death, Naruto would have just brought him back if Tobi had never interfered and Sasuke would be happy in Konoha, with complete peace of mind and viewed as a hero for taking credit of the deaths of 3 missing-nins. You can see that moment of catharsis when Itachi initially dies. If Naruto's team had gotten there a little earlier, the series would have been much different.

Sasuke wouldn't kill himself. Kishimoto described him as self-centered. He cares for himself above all else, his own ideas. Then maybe Itachi, then Naruto, then Taka, then Kakashi/Sakura, and then no one else really./

Disagree. You could tell Itachi's last words bothered Sasuke but he tried to push it in the back of his mind saying it no longer matters. Those words, however, would've always haunted Sasuke and he would've continued to wonder what they meant and would've concluded that there was more to the story.

Sasuke was never meant to have peace or return to the village to live a happy life as a hero so long as there was conflict between Ashura and Indra. There was always going to be something that kept him on the dark path.

And as we saw when he encountered Edo Itachi- Sasuke felt some guilt for having been spared. He asked, "...why me, how am I different from mother and father. I should have died too...".....I read a lot of pain in those words and believe that at a certain level, he would rather be dead with his family than to be alive in his current state.

It is true, however, that Sasuke is extremely self centered. We saw that with his ambition to destroy the Leaf. Only his grief at losing Itachi mattered, not the fact that Itachi sacrificed himself to protect it.

I don't get Sasuke. I am a fan of Sasuke but right now I don't like or understand his actions or character.

This all started when Itachi killed his family and his clan was killed aswell. He vowed to kill Itachi and avenge his family and clan. Which is reasonable and just like Sasuke's character. He then learned some of the truth from Obito but only after Itachi's death. He then only wanted to eliminate the top tier of the leaf. I'm not sure if he wanted to kill Tsunade as I'm sure he knows that she wasn't involved in that.

He learned more from Danzo and then decided to destroy the leaf and kill everyone, which is completely unreasonable. Sasuke knows that only the top tier were involved in the annihilation, so why would he want to destroy the village. Naruto saying I get what he's doing is a lie. I think Naruto was just trying to comfort Sasuke in that moment. Because how could Naruto understand Sasuke's choice when personally I don't think anyone does. Blaming a village that only knows a lie and trying to kill them instead of letting them know the truth. That's ridiculous.

The village talked bad about his brother because they didn't know the truth, Sasuke knew that. So why kill them knowing that they don't know the truth because you didn't say anything. That's insane. If he would have went to the village and talked to Tsunade which was in Sasuke's character, the truth would of changed everything. The Sasuke I know would clear his brother's name, not soil it in blood. But instead he kept the truth a secret and desired nothing more than destruction.

After seeing edo Itachi it looked as though he didn't desire destruction so much, he then talked with the Past hokage and it seemed he was on a clear path of understanding and restoring the clans name. He even states he wanted to become Hokage with his last dying word. Now in the recent chapter the whole script is flipped. He doesn't care for reasoning or understanding. But instead an extremist view with illogical ideas.

Killing the Kage's and starting a revolution. That is not in Sasuke's character.

I would like to know the opinion of other Sasuke fan about everything that Sasuke did. I believe he has had the best character development but instead Kishi made Sasuke the only character close to being insane. OMG even Obito had a reason for all the crap he did. But Sasuke has no reasonable reason at all.

Sasuke fans help me find clarity in my favorite character, if not I'll have to let him go.


Also since some people want to bring Indra in this, we don't even know his reasons for the stuff he did. So obviously don't bring him in this not knowing much about his goal or reasons.

he wants to change shinobi system of militias for hire.
Cuz in essence any one with money can hire konoha to kill some of kumo and vice versa.
This system is made to cause conflict and even kids are used to fight.

Kages have to go cuz they would not understand and went w/o fight which would include a tions behind them, so he has to kill them now.

Bijus are viewed as weapons by ninjas. Have to go.

Basically sasuke wants to create system that would generate far lest conflict pain and hatred then existing one.
