Sakura being gay is a good thing and it isn't an insult. What you said was that she likes men. Ok we knew that since Chapter 3 of the Naruto manga. She was addicted to Sasuke. It is an insult to Sasuke because he married that "gay" woman thus making him gay too. Oh wait isn't he already gay.

Not necessarily.

Gay/lesbian are used as synonyms for "homosexual" by many. I've heard lesbians state they were gay (though, I've never heard a man say he was "lesbian" lol). But society usually just associates "gay" with men automatically. It IS supposed to be used for either gender, though.
