I thought so at first to, but after rereading I realized the author was emphasizing a point. The point was to showcase the surpassing of Itachi. Sasuke was able to use a mere MS genjustu to keep up with Itachi's most powerful genjutsu...Tsukuyomi. That fight was mainly used symbolizing this, but I won't go in to that on this thread.

ok guys sasuke has tsukuyomi but he just never uses it or he doesnt no how to use it or he has a different vision of it
im a fan of sasuke not the one i hate pretty much the most is lol naruto himself
before anyone starts gettin on me with this all i will say is this i think naruto is too overrated and for him he should gain his powers a lot slower than he has for example when he just learned the sage mode then out of no where he learns the nine tails form ok i wouldnt have a problem with this if they took it a little slower than they did they like jumped right into it like right after he already learned the sage mode
all im sayin is he needs to take it alittle slower same with sasuke at least show us the full power or everything it can do before him gain something new

look let me explain it with this :
for example : to have the renningan you should have EMS + moktun = renningan
what if someone just give you a per of renningan like a gift??? like what happend to nagato!!! he hadn't moktun or EMS
and oh don't say renningan is like not this, it was an example considering renningan works like this I don't really care what it works...
and now for having susano you should have tsuko in your left eye and amaterasu in the right eye then it comes the third Power...

Mokuton + EMS is not how you unlock the Rinnegan.... and Itachi was surprised Sasuke had Susanoo so he couldn't have given it to him.
This is the only other option other than him having Tsukuyomi, but I don't cant see Kishi making a weak genjutsu which doesn't last long an MS technique. MS techniques are supposed to be powerful. That was probably just an enhanced version of the normal Sharingan genjutsu.

I think it reffered to Itachi's Susanoo. Itachi needed both Tsukyomi and Amaterasu to unlock his Susanoo. As in, he needed both of his eyes' powers to unlock it.
I thought the same thing until every Uchiha who has awakened MS showed their own unique abilities. Shisui, Koto Amatsukami. Obito's, Kamui. Itachi, Amaterasu and Tsukyomi. Sasuke, Amaterasu and Blaze Release or Flame Control (whichever is it).
You need to unlock the two MS abilities to awaken Susanoo. Itachi and Sasuke awakened their two unique abilities so they awakened Susanoo (even then, it was said to be a rarity or perhaps that's what it meant since not all awakened their two MS abilities). Though Sasuke and Itachi both have Amaterasu, it could be because they are related or because Itachi placed Amaterasu in his eye before he died. Madara has Susanoo so it's also safe to say that he has his own unique MS abilities. Otherwise, Itachi and Sasuke both would be able to use Koto Amatsukami and Kamui on their own as well.

Well he had a 3 tomoe sharingan when he met the cloud ninja, and then he activated his MS and the ninja was all stiff and then karin said that sasuke has put him in genjutsu.
So he has tsukiyomi but he is not very good at using it.

Sasuke got mangekyou cuz he killed the one closest to him. Sasuke has Tsukuyomi. i would imply tons of proof but im too lazy.
Sasuke may have Tsukiomy but it may be underdeveloped . . . . Genjutsu takes high intelligence and imagination to perform. Sasuke's genjutsu are simple monsters, feather spears etc but Itachi cld create a whole new twisted world with his mind. So Itachi simply has much greater skill with genjutsu.

I know people will post images of the Susano article stating to have it one must have awakened Tsukuyomi and amataratsu, or that all of the manga when he has supposedly used it becomes inverted colors like Itachi's, but the manga has never said he has used it. Simple as that. It's one word, not to hard to slip it in the manga if he has it.
