This fight, as should have been believed to, was never meant nor could have been one-sided for either one. Like in the past, Indra and Ashura had fought for years over ideals and prophecies on how the world should be lead and ruled. What Indra failed to realize, was that the two were meant as one, and that he could not do anything without the other. Ashura did not win any battles, he won the war over ideals. Sasuke, however, tested Naruto to see if he himself could truly carry on, on his own for the rest of his life. This battle was fair, and a tie. The former admitted defeat in his ideals of bearing hatred, a reference to their past ancestors.

sorry to burst your bubble but do you really understand the concept of reincarnation aka transmigration of the soul?

Indra = Sasuke or if you prefer Sasuke = Indra

same soul just different body (to incarnate means to came unto flesh nothing more) at a different time in Life =D

I thought reincarnation in this manga was simply inheriting the chakra of the deceased individual? Naruto said that he was't Ashura, and that Sasuke isn't Indra so........

It would be quite useless if after this fight Sasuke still continued on his hatred and revolution. That was a really good end. :yayy:

The personalities carry over, obviously, but not memory or anything like that. They are different though in the case that Indra couldn't accept Ashura, yet Sasuke could acknowledge Naruto.

As far as this manga is concerned, no one can inherit the soul of another but only the chakra. Madara, a previous transmigrant, has his own soul and he is no longer Indra. Same applies for Hashirama.

But in the end Sasuke will cooperate with Naruto. In the end Sasuke gave up his hatred whereas Indra died a butthurt.

I think the difference is pretty clear, the cycle of hatred between the 2 sides has ended. What more proof do you need?

@OP
I guess Naruto also did what Ashura failed to do, make Indra cooperate with him.

ok let explain it again.

reincarnation means your soul do not die and you change your body ok?
but the trick is, the ego and personality are not part of it, they can change for the worst or the best depending on your background and your present life.

Naruto and Sasuke souls remember they were siblings, that's why they were always saying profound stuff: like a brother/my best and only friend etc
also, that's why they were not that surprised when the SO6P explained their mutual story and the fact they are real brothers, not in this lifetime of course but their souls are forever linked as siblings.

the soul always remember not the ego that's how reincarnation works *_*

Sasuke achieved what his soul was begging for deep inside, symbolically his actual ego shut up so the soul can win and accept again his brother love and rebuild the bond he lost during Indra and Asura lifetimes.
Naruto did the opposite, his soul shut up but his actual ego harassed Sasuke until the end to regain his love.

Isn't it interesting how Naruto could save Sasuke even tough they weren't legit brothers?
Their experiences and feelings they both faced built a stronger bond between them than the bond Indra/Ashura had as legit brothers.
