It's true that Orochimaru's current body at the time had started rejecting him. He was terribly sick, in a lot of pain, and far from fighting at his full potential. Which is why his very first move was resorting to the Shirohebi(white snake).

Why I think that fight was completely fair is because it doesn't matter whether Orochimaru won or lost the confrontation, he was still able to trap Sasuke in the transference ritual. That is where the real fight took place! Orochimaru owned the space of the ritual, it was his domain! He created it, built it and in that place, a special place inside Orochimaru's body, his will was absolute!

The transference ritual fell prey to the curse mark powered Uchiha's chakra that corroded every inch of Orochimaru's being, taking over and consuming him completely! It was a battle of wills. Also...the potency of an Uchiha's chakra, especially Sasuke's, was like poison for Orochimaru. That proves that there was no way Orochimaru could have ever succeeded.

So anyone that thinks Orochimaru only lost because he was sick.....think again.

If he weren't sick, he would have beaten Sasuke to a bloody pulp then proceeded in taking over his body. Orochimaru knows how skilled at the sharingan Sasuke is, he would have been more careful by exhausting Sasuke before hand. The fight was unfair. Even Sasuke admitted it to Suigetsu by saying he wouldn't have won if Oro wasn't weakened. Sorry but I'm going with Sasuke's opinion on that matter

Sorry, but I have to disagree here. The reason Sasuke's will at the moment was so powerful was because of how much stamina and power he still had remaining even by the time he was bought to the Ritual place.

Had Oro been at full power, he would have REALLY put up a fight, and his white snake move would've been more effective. The point of the battle was to weaken him and leave him vulnerable to being tooken over, which because of his situation, he couldn't do. Sasuke didn't even have a scratch on him when he had gotten to that area, which was why he was so confident and still at 100% full power. Had he been weakened, the outcome would have been far different.

But who knows, even during the fight with a full powered Oro, there was still the possibility of him winning.

Then it just means you can comprehend it...
Or he just didn't agree. Just because you don't share the same view as somebody else doesn't mean that you can't comprehend it, it just means you share a different view of the situation.

What he said in his post had nothing to do with battle which took place inside Orochimarus dimension.

The battle outside the dimension is important too. Sasuke was unscathed at the end of that battle. If Oro wasn't weakened, he would beaten sasuke and exhausted him. Oro lost to the sharingan once and he knows how skilled sasuke is at using it. Sasuke had his full power when caught in the dimension, normal Oro wouldn't have made that mistake

Sasuke wasnt unscratched - he was completely paralyzed. Moreover, it was Orochimarus own dimesnion, where going by logic, he should have the advantage.

But it had relevance to the events that happened prior to that, which ultimately lead to Sasuke winning.

My post was more detailed on what I think happened.

Ritual was simply the battle of minds - one tried to take over the other. I dont see how previous event had any significance in it.

No man, I mean Sasuke had his full chakra. Do you think he could have reversed Oro's jutsu if he had been on the brink of death ? My point is if Oro could have fought with full power in the real world, sasuke would have been beaten and exhausted, Oro could have used his ritual safely. That's why the fight was unfair
