With the incorporation of Itachi's eyes so that Sasuke could transcend from Mangekyo to Eternal Mangekyo, Itachi's power transferred into his younger brother. If not for Itachi, Sasuke would've never been capable of reaching such a stage of nigh-omnipotence.

Praise Itachi for your favorites heightened potential -- After all, isn't that what older brothers do? Raise their lessers to higher standards than themselves with their lonesome influence (i.e. Itachi's Sharingan/chakra).

Coherently, Itachi was the first to possess potential to reach immortality if he'd implanted Nagato's Rinnegan.

Potential you'll never get to see. The series than focused on sasuke ended almost 2 years ago, si this thread is unnecessary. Sasuke case is even the worst of all. All those years of possessing rinnegan and we've only seen him barely use three paths.xd .potential indeed!

Potentially since it embodies Kaguya's power, albeit, on a lower scale given that his Dojutsu is a Kekkei Genkai whereas Kaguya's is a Kekkei Mora. Though honestly, I'm not sure if that would be considered true power since he lacks the other component of Hagoromo's power, the Juubi or Rikudou Senjutsu in order to tap into Kaguya's power.

If only true power could only be obtained by Sasuke, then Hagoromo blundered given that he originally intended for Naruto and Sasuke to be of equal power.

Well Kishi made it clear he can use any jutsu he likes and create any jutsu he likes.

Regarding immortality, he can achieve in various ways, but since he mentioned having Sharingan it implies he can also use Izanagi without blindness.

Being able to "cheat" death is one way of being considered immortal even if it's not in the literal sense.
