With this info,we can safely say that when Iron Sand is released and used as magnetic field,the paths' chakra receiver would be drawn to Iron Sand-making Nagato can't use his paths anymore and hence he can't do a thing.

keep in mind that the scenario is where Sasori confront Nagato at his hangout and quickly release the puppet before Nagato makes a move.

At this state,I don't think so.
Nagato transmits all of his chakra into the bodies-he wouldn't have the power to use most of Rinnegan's techs.
The edo tensei version of him restored all his chakra back to normal-thats why he doesn't need the paths anymore.

Just simply stating a fact, there are a least a handful of metals that are not affected by magnetism. Who knows what the rods are actually made of, but if they are indeed not affected by magnetism, which you can't prove they are, then your theory goes out the window.

well when he is not connected to them anymore he is not transmitting chakara anymore so he would have power, dont forget he is a path himself and when all his other path got destroyed he still had power to revive everyone, and that is after the fight, if he was fresh when sasori came, he would definitely have power left

magetism actually only affect iron nickel and cobalt so there is a high chance its not affected by magnetism

Deva Path just gravitationally pull his other paths to prevent them from being attracted. I don't think your magnetism theory really convincing though I'm a Sasori fan.
