Lol, now you made me wonder about what is behind Kakashi's mask.
But if they are alive/lived then they came from an existent clan. I think their clan is unknown too it was just father and son there was no mother no brothers. But still his father was one of the best of the leaf village.(If he had some connection with strong clans then it would of been stated).

Sarutobi were powerful.

Hiruzen Is stronger than Hashirama who was considered to be strongest of his time and the strongest Senju (maybe besides the brother.) even Madara (EMS) could not have taken him in prime seeing how neither of those two were called a god of Shinobi.

But as for the clan. May not be the best but it produced a more powerful ninja that had no KG and no Clan power ups. He had no power ups from the begining And he is still considered more powerful than Hashirama and a god of Shinobi who worked to become the best of his time.

I would agree with this.

It has been stated numerous times that Uchiha was the strongest clan. Which makes me think that Tobirama and Hashirama must have been working alot to keep up with the Uchiha clan.
