Kishimoto clearly is making Sarada more like Naruto, not distinctively, because he had no parents but with the sense of both of them sharing this unknown of who they truly are (Sarada: Who am I? Woman in Glasses? Where is my Father? -- Naruto: Where are my parents? Why does everyone hate me?). While Sasuke is being paralleled directly with Boruto in the sense of wanting to spend time with his father/wanting acknowledgement from his father. It's kind of crude but the Boruto trailer depicts that Boruto wants to surpass Naruto. "Boruto is his son who completely disproves of him. Though on the underside, he was felt that he wanted to surpass the admirable and heroic Naruto" -- Similar to how Sasuke wanted to surpass his older brother Itachi.
I'm not sure what exactly it means, but we know he is not becoming an Hokage or wanting to become one.

Boruto already being a Prodigy, becoming the student of Sasuke, and overall nothing hinting that he is low on intelligence or having any lack of skill so far in this manga is making me place him above everyone else in his generation, so far. I don't even think a 1T Sharingan will put him on edge, but we shall see.
Though so far Sarada has more feats than him.
