Are you dumb? Do you not realize Sharingan Genjutsu isn't passively active 24/7 and whenever a victim makes eye contact they're caught? It's activated manually. Sarada would have to know exactly that Araya is looking directly at her eyes in order for the ocular genjutsu to work.

Saradas character isn't serious enough yet to fight where she would actually have to possible kill someone , like she almost did with the shins, I think they are keeping him in a static solo state so that she doesn't seem too cold. Kishi himself said that he struggled with trying to make her seem not so scary

Well...fair point actually. I didn't notice that since I only looked up the kanji for Sarada and Shinki's names, so I only looked at theim written out as separate fights and jumped to conclusions.

But my point still stands. She wouldn't have fought Shinki anyway, so the anime is still not to blame.

@bold: nice fanfic first and foremost it's more than likely she'd solo Mitsuki and get to the finals. Even if we accept for a moment Mitsuki could win then there are two points to consider. The first is Boruto's out so Mitsuki would have no reason to make it to the finals. The second Mitsuki was told to hold back and not show his true power so he'd lose either way.

Based on the above and leaving the fanboying aside the final fight would be Shikidai vs Sarada(more than likely) vs Shinki(more than likely). The anime is most definitely to blame especially the filler and outright altering of canon. If they wanted to show us the other fights all SP had to do was change the order and still not interefere with the canon. Shinki vs Araya could've been first followed by Sarada vs Mitsuki and finally Boruto vs Shikidai then his disqualification.

I doubt intimate eye contact is required, just seeing the eyes should be enough. It's safe assumption that he'd focus on her face or body when there's nothing else to focus on during the match.
